One thing that we should remember when considering the remarks that Malcolm X made about the Democratic party is that the Democratic party in Malcolm X's time is quite different from the one today. For example the racist Dixiecrats were still a part of the Democratic party. Those people are now Republicans.

    Ddyad, in the South?

Prove they did not if that is your contention.

You can't answer it: end of story. I know the answer, but since the premise is yours, you have to try and prove it, then I can blast it out of the water.

No they’re not. I tend to think you have an obsession with body image perhaps you should concern yourself more with mental capacity

You exemplify exactly why I hate religion. If we don’t believe in the invisible man in the sky we will do harmful things. Do you realize what a hateful statement that is. But then I guess if you believe in this supreme Lord you will be punished for such awful judgmental intolerance

I know what you mean those little babies making the choice to live in a place where there is famine and disease. They should be punished. People who get trapped in tsunami’s and earthquakes, they made such stupid choices being in the wrong place at the wrong time. But if one survives God gets all the credit

I understand what he's saying he's glad his ancestors were here so he didn't have to migrate from Africa. I think his delivery was poor.

I don't think there was anything virtuous at all about slavery but I can understand why a person would be grateful that they're here in the US.

I wouldn't necessarily consider anyone a race traitor for the things he said I would consider thanking God for slavery to be a ridiculous way to say that you're grateful for being here.

I'm one of those dreaded white males although I'm not heterosexual so I think that gets me some points in the oppression Olympics I'm not sure I don't play. But that means my ancestors migrated here I'm thankful for that I don't know who they were I don't really care. I'm grateful everyday that I was born here.

I'm sure there was some oppression of my ancestors by someone else's ancestors at some point in history but I don't see any point or value in holding someone responsible for what their ancestors did to my ancestors.

So I reject the notion of an Uncle Tom. It's this stupidity that one has to be a certain way or believe a certain thing in order to be a true person of some race or identity group that is responsible for the majority of racism we see today.

I was just thinking about Martin Luther King earlier today and what a great message he delivered and how he must be turning in his grave at the state of the world now.

I think it's precisely that attitude that one must be poor and broke in order not to be a race traitor that creates the discrepancy we see between black people and the rest of the population.

Self-inflicted exile it's really sad. If it helps anybody I think racism and slavery was abhorrent and I'm glad we progressed out of that. I believe an equal Society is supremely desirable in every way. But I don't think I owe anyone anything. People in the grave that were wronged were wronged by people in their graves.

I say Let the dead duke it out.

It's horrible to say "Thank God for slavery."
That being said, I think today's Uncle Toms are the progressive identity politics crowd who want blacks to keep thinking they're oppressed and special simply for being black.

But I bet you appreciated Michelle for her concern.
As I mentioned I do prejudice workshops and people think it’s only about race. Looks is another prejudice. Some view fat people as lazy, and as you think,,disgusting

And it sounds like you want blacks to think there is no prejudice.. and I bet you don’t think you have a prejudiced bone, when you say they want to think they’re special for being black.....I hope you’re aware of the growing black middle class since affirmative action has leveled he playing field quite a bit.

Still won't work. John 14:6 "Jesus said to them, 'I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life. No one can come to the Father except through Me'". IOW, no amount of religion, good works, ethics, etc. trying to be a "good" person will qualify in God's plan of Salvation. Simply because the issue of your sin still hasn't been dealt with. Only by receiving Christ into your heart, soul, and very being can a person enter into God's Kingdom. John 3:3 states:"Unless a man is born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God".

I suppose the point is what Republicans are doing now. What they are doing now is trying to make black people believe that racism is not a substantial obstacle that blacks have to deal with in their lives. Its just not so, and what is particularly offensive is a black Republican like Herman Cain, putting forward such a view, but then saying out of the other side of his mouth that racism helped to destroy his presidential bid. Its very offensive and bears the stench of deliberate deceit.
