Read my sig and I am talking about you, didn't you say the President can do nothing about the price of gas? The deficit spending and handing out free money in the extensions of the COVID aid spending. What does being a service economy have to do with it and we still manufacture LOTS of stuff here. It's inflation HERE that the President has means to effect, OUR monetary policy and OUR regulatory policy. But again if it falls and Biden tries to take credit are you going to call him on it?
There is very little if anything a President can do. There is very little Congress can do but the Republicans will take credit.
The world came out of covid. There are European countries running at 14-15% inflation. Did Biden policies cause that? As far as covid money....what's the other side of that coin. What would have been the result if it wasn't given? Did we give too much......probably, but that's hindsight.
Not Bidens, we didn't even need Trump's second one which I opposed but Biden piling his HUGE spending and give aways on top of it while the reall need was to cut it off and make people go back to work. He did the exact opposite against warnings even from liberal economist and THAT is why inflation shot so high and now will be so much harder to bring into control and he is STILL going down that path with all his proposals and if you swallowed the name they put on the "Let's Send Inflation Even Higher As We Buy Votes With Giveaways" bill I have a bridge to sell you.
It his own words and he just recently repeated it, why is it meaningless? Don't you take Biden at his word?
huh? what did gas prices do just a month after Biden signed the EO's? What did they continue to do after that? Derailing may work with others, but not here.
I don't agree but what in all that which you believe Biden has done wrong would have kept these furniture people employed. What would have kept the tech companies from letting all those people go and nothing you have written explains the worldwide inflation. All you're doing is making excuses for what you want to be real.
There's no derailing, just facts. In Feb 2020 COVID was spreading like wildfire and the price of oil dropped out of sight......below $0 so now it became a supply and demand problem. Gas prices were going up from that time till now. The EO's were signed in Jan 2021. You are wrong with your timetabe.
FFS you dont even know what your debating. Gas prices are set based on the core price of a barrell of oil + refining costs. Who sets the price of american produced oil ?
lol, you could not list anything Republicans would do to fix it, there is no quick fix for these global issues
yep, raising the interest rates is used to cool a hot economy...one that is so hot it's causing inflation under Trump the FED was dumping Trillions into the economy to keep it afloat ... good lord...learn the basics. there was even talk of negative interest rates under Trump, that is how bad Trump's economy was
