    Yes, thank you Trump.

    So many people here seem to either not understand the effect of consumer confidence on the economy, or they want to downplay it, but it is a key. One of the first things I saw following Trump's election was the turnaround in consumer confidence. Suddenly people weren't holding their breath, they were optimistic; and my own business benefited directly and well.

    I don't care how much a person hates Trump, worships Obama, or just flat out doesn't understand how the economy works - this is one accomplishment nobody can take away from Trump. To pretend otherwise just shows how brainwashed and bitter some partisans are, and folks can take that level of partisanship and shove it :p

    For me personally I am no longer afraid to go out and spend money.

    I'm a waitress and before I was always worried about how busy the restaurant would be and if I'd make enough tips to pay bills.

    Now I see more and more people coming out to eat, consistently, so I know I have a steady income.

    So thank you Mr. Trump.

    We still have very moderate inflation of less than the Fed's target of 2%, the Fed is raising rates very slowly, we have tax cuts and more gummit spending, and jobs are there. Bon Temps Roulez. Giving a politican all the credit or blame is unwise because ..... consumer sentiment is not particularly useful in predicting more than short term outcomes.

    actually the left is happy the trend has continued for the same way for the past 9 years. What the left can't stand, is republicans pretending trump has done anything at all for the economy, or that the economy suddenly exploded on 1/20/17.
