The Syrian people want Assad for their president. What is it that you can't understand?

The Syrian civil war, unleashed for geopolitical purposes and having nothing to do with the propaganda lines you are accustomed to reading, was basically over with Assad winning. That meant the Syrians were in a position to begin rebuilding their country. The ones who were working to unleash this civil war in Syria in the first place, of course, weren't happy with the results. And they are trying to make sure that doesn't happen. That is the simple truth and the much of the rest is just games being played at the expense of the lives and livelihoods of millions of people whose have already suffered too much.

Unlike with Obama, Putin will listen to Trump....and pay attention....he knows better than to ignore the President's words!

Trump was voted in to fight the same people that he is now bowing down to - and you consider that courageous? I guess you consider killing innocent people in a foreign land courageous too?

Bullshitt....that's why half the country is revolting against him, and the other half is afraid to say anything for fear of losing their lives.
Look at a map....the war criminal Assad controls less than half of Syria!

The populated areas in Syria are almost all under Assad's control. The empty barren lands he hasn't taken control of to make sure he doesn't extend his supply lines and resources aren't relevant and any objective observer (even writing for western media) acknowledges that Assad had basically won the civil war.

As for the Syrian civil war and how it was unleashed, the most succinct and accurate description remains the following given a while back by Jeffrey Sachs:

The ironic thing is that Hillary's biggest crime was her role in pushing the policies to plunge Syria into civil war and chaos. And it is Trump, who was critical of Obama's policies in Syria and faced off against Hillary in the US presidential election promising a different policy, who has been left to complete her assignment!

Exactly point out who Trump is bowing too ?

I seem to remember Obama appeasing and bowing to Putin for eight years even allowing Putin to meddle in our elections but hey !!!, Obama administration was doing the same thing in the Ukraine and Russia.

The Syrian army has taken back most of the country, and the Syrian people were finally going to have some peace, but it had to be destroyed once again by the Washington sociopaths so they can support their Al Nusra terrorists and make Saudi Arabia happy.

If the foreign terrorists weren't getting support from the US, France, Israel, Britain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Jordan, the country would have been taken back from them a long time ago and the Syrian people would have had peace in a secular nation under Assad. This is what they have been fighting for.

If you are so adamant about having sharia law in the Middle East, then go impose it on Israel and live there, and leave the Christians, Alawites and Shias in Syria alone.

Say, ummm, what are you anti-immigrant Republicans going to do about the next million or so refugees that come here from the Middle East?

Syrian defenses have knocked down 20 missiles, and 6 innocent people have been hurt at last count.

You mean being civil to Russia is appeasement? Is it appeasement if the US is civil to Saudi Arabia, Britain, France, Germany, etc., etc., or is it only appeasement if it is Russia? I'm just curious!

The US didn’t accept that many refugees. I think the count is in tens of thousands, not million.

And you are happy that Washington destroyed the peace once again so that Arabs can keep on killing Arabs. Sounds very Nazi like to me.

Says everything about your pathetic grasp of the past and the present. Given your uncritical support for Russian crimes past and present it is even more pathetic. You are happy enough to party and cheer at the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Syrians at Assad's hands, but a few US bombs have you reaching for Nazi comparisons.

You and your troll buddies are far closer to Nazi sympathizers than anyone here who disagrees with you - the constant support for dictatorship & systematic mass murder are a bit of a giveaway.

You simple fool; that's your childlike way of having a go at me isn't it. Well with the events of the past 24 hours in mind, you can bet your life international terrorism will soon be rearing its ugly head in Australian streets and malls, then you'll feel really stupid - which, contrary to your puffed-up delusions of intellectualism, is precisely what you are!

Being civil to your enemy is appeasement, and there's no denying that Putin's Russia is US' enemy on more than the Syrian front.

Using the Nazi-like comparisons you favor a tad too much, I'd say that Chamberlain being civil to Nazi Germany is a shining example why appeasing your enemy is a bad idea.

Do you eat, Jeanette? Nazis used to eat too, you know. Eating sounds very Nazi like to me.
