Another reason there are so many Americans sick of politics as usual.

They have a whole lot more socialist programs than we do. I would be fine with THEIR model of socialism

None of them have 330 million citizens, and countries like Sweden are all the same color. The historical models of socialism are all failures

I still love how dishonest conservatives are. Venezuela did not fail because of printing money. Their economy tanked because half their economy is based on oil that completely plummeted. Their only option was to try to print their way out of it. Oil still did not rebound, they still couldn't produce enough, they failed. They would have failed with or without hyperinflation. Just like every other country that has ever experienced hyperinflation before.

Almost every country with an autocratic populist leader ends up in bad shape: Venezuela under Chavez, Russia under Putin, Turkey under Erdogan, Nicaragua under Ortega, Cuba under the Castros, Germany under Hitler, Italy under Mussolini. The list goes on and on. I just hope the USA doesn't make the same mistake and elect a know-nothing autocratic populist.

Russia's not in bad shape, i can testify to this, for i live there. Venezuela should be visited & seen first to make any conclusion, not read about in some dubious tabloid.

eh? Germany & Italy thrived under them until the last couple of years of WWII - a historical fact.

as for Socialism as such, it has never yet been given a chance, but always attacked & sabotaged by Capitalists, with the result presented as its failings while it being that of the Capitalist conspiracy, in fact.

Thank goodness, I'm not the only person who sees it this way. Alternative systems are attacked by Capitalists...always imho.
