Violence is connected to poverty not race

Nonsense. Poor people may be poor but there is no reason for violence from them IF they are doing the best they can and not laying around feeling sorry for themselves.

 

It's not intelligence or poverty that is the cause for violence, but rather empathy.

Violence by itself isn't the problem, but rather a particular form of violence that is the problem. Wars are fought by violent men (sorry ladies, but your suzy homemaker ovens are calling) and those who fight the most intelligently win. The better the technology you have at your disposal means the greater chances of winning, thus being able to go home and make babies, whereas your less intelligent opponents are dead, thus not reproducing.

Empathy, on the other hand, results in some rather interesting outcomes. If you know somebody and feel empathy for that person, you can either love or hate the people who affect that person. Think of your wife or your mom, who you probably empathize with, and then imagine that something bad happened to her.

You'll feel anger because of empathy. That anger turns to violence, and there you go. Because of that violence, nobody wants to associate with you, so your financial prospects are dubious, at best. We don't care if you do love your mama, you're just too violent and angry for polite society.
