How about we cut the crap and just be honest about this. This has nothing to do with voter fraud. This is about trying to make sure that only the right people get to vote. That's not a position to be shy about saying out loud, and to some degree everyone agrees with it. After all, I doubt there are many people who would argue that felons should be able to vote. It's a question of how you define who the "right" people are. The idea that a great many people are not well informed enough or not skilled enough to make intelligent decisions for government and that power should therefore be vested in the traditional power structures and elites of society has been around for a long long time. It's actually pretty much the definition of classical conservatism.

How about we cut the crap. This is all about election fraud. That's all it's about and the Democrats, the socialists, and the leftists know it. Without dead people voting, without foreign nationals voting, without deadbeats being paid to vote, without thugs going into nursing homes coercing the elderly to sign already filled out absentee ballots, without select people getting more than one ballot at the voting booth, the left is toast even with vote buying and lying.

no, it's about keeping democrats from voting, voter fraud is statistically nil

Between 2000 and 2010 there were 649 million votes cast in general elections and 13 cases of in-person voter impersonation.

How do you know if you cannot establish who a potential voter is?

And yet all the evidence for all this rampant fraud that's supposedly going on just magically disappears whenever someone tries to look for it? So, what? All this election fraud undergoes wave function collapse or something? Voter fraud, especially in person voter fraud, is extremely rare. If you think that Republicans are losing elections because of this non-existent fraud and not because they're telling blacks they should go back to being slaves, Hispanics that they should all be deported en mass, and women that they should be barefoot and pregnant, you are seriously out of touch with reality.

Even Greg Abbott, the Texas Attorney General, could only claim to have made 50 convictions over ten years, despite creating a unit specifically to go after election fraud. And even that number of 50 is pretty questionable. http://www.politifact.com/texas/sta...bbott-claims-50-election-fraud-convictions-2/

You are aware that there are people who are without ID, but are citizens, and have been registered to vote for decades.
You do know that don't you?

You're not getting it. These people who supposedly can't vote because of an ID issue still manage to enroll into social security, Medicare or Medicaid. Can they do that without ID? Can they cash a check of any kind without ID?

If these people can't produce an ID to vote, how do they get by in life?

Didn't he need to prove who he was to be admitted into a nursing home?

So, don't they need to prove they are who they claim to be in order to start receiving the benefits?

The bottom line, this opposition to a valid ID is just a phony issue drummed up by the left so they can stop any effort to secure our voting system.

he doesn't have a photo id

you're wrong, it's a fight against the gop's attempts at suppressing voting rights

you know the strategy they've been talking about for decades

the one you're trying so hard to deny

If someone is on welfare, social security or any other income producing program they had to have a valid ID in order to prove who they claim to be.

This has nothing to do with denying anyone their right to vote. It has everything to do with assuring your right to know that our system of voting is important enough to protect. An individuals vote is meaningless if our system is so flawed that anyone, citizen or not, registered or not, can walk into a polling place and vote. Then walk into a different polling place and vote again because some organization purchased those votes.

Quit falling for the left wing propaganda. I know it's easy because it plays on our emotions, but somewhere along the line one must separate the emotions and think.

Is a drivers license the only form of ID out there?

Just not the questions I asked. Your answers are all nonsensical and not relevant to the question asked.
