But but but but but Corporations are people, too, and people have rights, and thus corporations have rights, and and and and laissez faire! Walmart should be able to deny service to whoever they want! Free market!
Sure, but they shouldn't be able to deny this cake until a certain bakery gets it's money back that it had to pay in fines for denying a gay wedding cake. Wasn't it around $200,000? Keep in mind that was based on religious beliefs, this Wal mart case is based on hate. The left was totally against the baker denying the gay wedding cake but in this case is finding every reason to defend it, but yet calling the right hypocrites.
Frankly, I don't particularly care about who bakes what cake with what on it. It doesn't impact me. Nor does it impact anyone I know. I do though find it hilarious how the right wing hates unions so bad, but has yet to tell me why the thin blue line promoting Police Union is A-O-K and never touched by right wing politicians.
` Most likely, they will be but first, they'll be transferred out of the department then they'll wait until the ruckus dies down.
First thing, lots of things in this world won't impact you personally, but you should still care. Are you that self centered? Secondly, the thin blue line represents police, regardless that it's union, it's the group it represents, therefore we show them the respect they deserve as public servants who put their lives on the line daily for the general public.
1. I don't particularly care because frankly I disagree with wal-mart, and don't believe the public's rights to service based on business licensure laws should allow the rights of a corporation and it's employees to override those licensing laws. 2. Not what I asked. I asked why the police union was respected by the right wing, but no other unions. Why?
1. Backpeddling now? You clearly said you didn't care cause it didn't impact you or anyone you know. Now you change your tune? 2. And I answered why. It's not the union itself, it's the people in that union.
Won't try and defend the forum, but know I've used the "thug" label to describe SEIU'ers regardless of their race. But, regardless, IMO I think the Walmart employee's acted stupidly.
If they refused a gay cake they would have been fired immediately. But its just a cop so who cares. \liberal logic
I am guessing if the decorators refused to make a cake for black lives matter, you would hold a different opinion.
Clearly another person on this forum, without the backbone to actually have an opinion and intelligently defend it, instead just here to agitate. Click. Ignore. Run along troll.
The workers should be fired. They have a right to their opinion, but they don't have a right to not do their job.
The daughter should known better then to patronize the non-union, anti-worker Walmart in the first place.
LOL...it's "racist". Sure, they're just decorating cakes at Wal mart today while waiting for that CEO job to open up somewhere else. Anyway, yes they should be fired, fined (The people themselves, not Wal Mart as this is NOT walmart policy) and sent for re-education if we wish to keep standards equal.
1. No, not back peddling. It doesn't impact me, but you also pointed out the nonsense about the Christian baker. Wanted to show that my opinion is not hypocritical. 2. So teachers are evil, wicked people that compose a tyrannical union, then? What a filthy, grotesque, idiotic position to take. That, sir, makes you a hypocrite.
First, I'm not a sir, I'm a woman. Second, what did I say that makes me a hypocrite? How do you know what my stand is on teacher's union, that's not what the topic of discussion is. How did my response of police union mean that teachers are evil, wicked people? How exactly does this liberal logic work?
Oh trust me, I know what you are saying. I have been preaching it for years. The federal government need not stick its nose into the ethics of doing business, the market will correct such nonsense.
1. Sorry, MA'AM. You're just numbers and letters on a screen. 2. I know you defended Trumplestiltskin the Cheeto Jesus over Trump U, and that generally speaks quite clearly of your opinion of public schools and the unions that Teachers have. Don't even try denying it, it's in your post history.
