Walmart Workers Refuse to Make Cop’s Retirement Cake

Wow, I'm not even sure how to hold a rational debate with logic as yours. We are discussing police and cakes here and you have somehow deflected your liberal mind to Trump U and teachers unions and public schools? See, this is why liberals are all considered a bunch of nutcases.

 

They should be reprimanded per walmarts policy for not satisfying the customer.
As should every employee who doesn't follow what the employer wants.
Whether a wedding cake of a police cake.

 

One involved breaking the law, the other company policy.

Religions don't give one a freedom to break laws and deny rights to American citizens.

False comparison. When the white lady ran for the Clerk of Court position, gays could not get marriage licenses. That did not change until after she was elected. So, there was a compromise made, and she will not run for reelection. The job description for these cake decorators has not changed. Their job is to decorate the cakes that their customers request. They knew this when they took the job. Now, they are refusing to do their job. They should be fired, immediately.

Additionally, there is a religious prohibition against homosexual behavior therefore not supporting their behavior is a First Amendment right to refuse to participate in a gay marriage. On the other hand, there is not a prohibition against supporting a policeman's retirement.

 

Do BLM pay for anything? What would a looted cake look like?

No, they are not. They are employees, not the people who make policy. If they don't like what they were hired to do, then they should quit or be fired.

No, its different. Kim was a political figure where there is no alternative to government bureaucracy. There are plenty of stores which bake cakes, so the options are endless. Only idiots confuse private companies and public services up. Plus Kim is a democrat, so using her power for denial of service from a government agency isn't all that surprising.

Whats funny is, Teachers and Cops and fire fighters and other public sector unions are usually forced into joining the unions or at least still paying the union dues, which is another tax. The right doesn't "hate" the individuals, they hate the collectivist who donate almost exclusively to democrats who make laws in favor FOR unions to collect dues from everyone, even if they aren't even actively employed in the career field. For one example, those who collect medicaid and stay at home to take care of a child are considered "health care professionals" and needed to pay the union from the Medicaid.

All cops are not bad cops...most do their job and protect citizens...even citizens like these Walmart yahoos.

 

Are you talking from public service or private business? Sorry, but a private business isn't there to serve everyone. There are things that one business cant do for someone that another can. No one but the public sector can issue out marriage licenses.

I'm not much of a Walmart customer and their 'low' prices aren't that low......I have a Fred Meyer/Kroger one-stop shopping store in my area and they beat Walmart when it comes to prices & customer service.

Cops have an obligation to the tax payers to serve the public. The public does not have the same obligation to them.

I actually agree with you. I think when you work for the government, you work for all the people. I was just making a point. I do not see how making that cake is racist though. And the bakers who refused to make a cake for a gay couple, didn't work for anyone but themselves. I imagine Walmart will say whether those employees are required to serve everyone or not.
