Don't answer a question with a question. It is your claim so ... back it up.

When you look out into the world (not sure if your man or woman) and see someone that you find attractive did you choose to find that someone attractive ? NO... that's not how it works unless you are different from everyone else.

You either find that person attractive or you do not. I am a guy so I will speak from that perspective. Some guys like big butts ... some like small butts. Some like big boobs ... some do not. Did I choose what I like ? No ... you like what you like and that is that.

Did you choose to like strawberry ice cream and dislike chocolate .. NO ... you like what you like.

If they want to be treated.
And there is no hard evidence it is treatable.
    WTF you gonna treat?
Can one be cured of being hetero if they don't want to be attracted to the opposite sex? That thinking should flow both ways.

There is no statistical dependency between abuse and gays. Give a real source for that claim. Or it's made up just like all the other claims against gays.

Born with it would imply genetic basis

the argument I'm rebutting used by opponents to homosexual conversion therapy is because it is harmful to the one going through the therapy
when in fact it is used on pedophiles court ordered even

That presumes they're the same thing, which I'd argue they're not, ether in principle or practice. We're also comparing treatment offered to convicted criminals to help prevent them committing serious and damaging criminal acts with "treatment" being imposed upon children who have committed no crime and done no harm.

    no Joe

we're talking about sexual deviancies of which the homosexual lifestyle is one. If a state for whatever leftist reason feels that it can ban a much needed treatment for a sexual deviancy, then it must for all. It is unConstitutional to ban treatment for cross dressers and homosexuals but not for pedophiles or necrophiles. Until such time as there is a medical test to confirm that one is "born homosexual", then all sexual deviancies must be treated the same. It's too bad if it offends you to place pedophiles and necrophiles into the same group as homosexuals and cross-dressers, but that is what must be.

I would also put this in the Roe v. Wade category. The state cannot ban medical treatments.

that isn't what gay means. It means being attracted to the same sex. Tell us the day you chose not to be attracted to other men.

That was the damned point, Poly!

The same 'authority' who think it's just fine to chemically castrate children, are telling us it's not okay for kids to access conversion therapy.

You, like Poly, missed the point entirely ... if that's your takeaway.

What it adds up to is that any medical 'professionals' involved in gender and/or sexuality can no longer be trusted. Litigiphobia and political expediency are driving them, not science.

the point is it is hypocritical of you 2 quote the experts when you agree with them in question the experts when you don't.

so they're either 100% right or 100% wrong? It's okay for deluded homosexuals to believe that they can change their sexuality and then spread that delusion to others because experts think a certain way on some other unrelated subject?

Do you know how batshit nuts that sounds?

the point is you disagree with experts on one subject so therefore they can't be correct on anything.

what about experts in other fields why is it that because an expert can't be trusted with regard to gender that you we can no longer trust experts in other fields which fields all the ones you disagree with the experts on? These are two unrelated things. No matter how much you try and conflate them they aren't related

    So it's a conspiracy?
