    Staying calm and downplaying the virus are not the same thing. Seems the people who are freaking out are upset that the people who are not freaking out aren't joining them in the anxiety-fest.

    The government has been telling us to expect this virus to spread. They're also telling us that if you're young and don't have other health issues, you're going to survive this, possibly with some nasty cold or flu-like symptoms. They're telling people over 60 and people with health issues to take more precautions at this time.

    There is no "downplaying" going on except in some political machination.

    ~ I believe flu season deaths in the U.S. are at approx. 20,000. Mostly the elderly and those with weakened immune systems.

    Banning all travel from Europe, with the exception of US citizens who have been screened.

    I can't imagine that's going to sit well with investors or health experts.
