You said a mouthful there...but not in a way you intended, I'm sure. I didn't vote for Trump in the primary. I thought he'd be the guy who would so enrage the libs that they'd coalesce and come out in DROVES to make sure a guy like this never got elected. However...once he became the nominee, I saw what he was doing...and THAT is the reason why you lefties are absolutely pulling your hair out! Trump played YOUR dirty little game - taken directly from Saul Alinsky - and absolutely impaled you with your own damned sword! All the ambitions and ideas in the world do ZERO good unless you are in a position where you can actually implement them. You guys have known that for decades...and you certainly strategized from that playbook. Bully for you! You did what you had to do in order to "fundamentally transform America". Didn't really work out though, did it? At least it didn't in any really discernibly good way - that's for damn sure! I've never been in the "win at any cost" camp. In fact, I have always been very critical of the dims' tactics because that's exactly what they were: win -- period! Now that has bitten you in your a$$...and now you are completely beside yourselves with such hypocritical indignation that you - one after the other - are on the brink of complete and total mental implosion! What goes around...comes around, friend. Now Trump is taking advantage of one of the liberal mainstays of getting their "word" out: social media! He's plucking your strings and playing you like a harp! I gotta smugly say...it's a damn funny sight to behold! Trump played YOUR game...he won...and is STILL winning! A wise person might take a lesson from that. But of course...you won't. FLAME ON!!! We're lovin' this!
Have you - or anyone else - given any thought to the fact that if you take away California's vote - on both sides - Donald Trump wins the popular vote by over 1.4 million votes?!?!?! You are obviously advocating a popular vote presidential election and are, like many others on here, likely a socialist. Well...ok...you're entitled to your opinion - but.... (I know that most libs have the attention span of a gnat, so you've probably already stopped reading - but you really SHOULD keep reading. You might actually learn something!) Yes - Trump would easily win even the popular vote without California! Go ahead...look up the numbers...I'll wait... I'm tired of waiting...here they are: CA popular vote Clinton: 8,753,788 Trump: 4,483,810 Clinton won by 4,269,978 US popular vote Clinton: 65,746,544 Trump: 62,904,682 Clinton won by 2,841,862 CA difference: 4,269,978 US difference: 2,841,862 Trump wins by 1,428,116 Now..... Look at California!!! I lived there for nearly six years of my career. I KNOW California and the California mindset. CA is NOT the real world...and it is DEFINITELY NOT representative of the overall timbre of the people of the U.S. CA is its own world....a really REALLY weird world, I must say. California is the PERFECT example of why we have the Electoral College! There's no way in hell a place like that should singlehandedly dictate our presidential election outcome! Enter our saving grace - our failsafe - our Electoral College. It gives everyday Americans a voice when we have damn-well had ENOUGH! And yes - I would feel EXACTLY the same way if the situation were reversed. I am a Constitutionalist. I understand that our Founding Fathers gave us our system for very good reasons. Even though those reasons were based on life in the 18th century...it doesn't change the fact that they were wise enough to LEARN from history and give us a Republic - NOT a democracy! I'll post this again because it is most apropos: "A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the worlds greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to complacency; From complacency to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage. That was a quote by Alexander Fraser Tytler, (1747 1813) We are, as I type this, in-between apathy and dependence leaning heavily toward total dependence. If the libs have their way, well have a dependent class so enormous that well be one short step away from a complete collapse and well slip back into bondage! We have so many in our country - on both sides of the aisle - willing to sell it up the river for the sake of perpetuating THEIR partys power because it promises to keep on taking from one and giving to the other all if you just keep on voting for us! Giving freely out of concern for your fellow man is honorable. Forcing those who are willing to work hard to give to those who are not - well, that is the very definition of tyranny! You want people who are THAT willing to doom their country to have THAT MUCH voice in selecting our president without a failsafe in place?!?!?! RIDICULOUS! No .we desperately NEED our Electoral College. And were going to damn-well fight to keep it!
The Carrier deal wasn't already happening. I'll agree the deal isn't as good as it initially looked but it's still something. Do you call Clinton supporters her minions? They seem pretty radical themselves judging from the riots in Portland. Well, he's not exactly the president yet. I'll have to agree with you on this. The idea that he watches SNL and then tweets about it- well that's just not very presidential. What's confusing is that he seems to be able to forgive those who insulted him during the campaign. Romney and the NYT for example. Yet he goes all nuts at SNL. Not the Senate. The democrats will have 23 up for grabs plus two independents that caucus with them. The republicans will only have eight up. The republicans may very well get the eight seats they need to reach the magic number of 60. I believe people make their own luck. If your life is win/win then you're probably doing something right.
You lost. He won. Trump will be president for the next 4 to 8 years and no amount of crying and (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)ing from guys like you will change that. Get over it.
