True enough, Trump did over-promise the # of vaccines that would be administered by the first of the year but, in all fairness, the vaccines only got approval in mid December.

By the time Biden was sworn in, most of the kinks had been worked out and all the states, even dem controlled ones, were saying they only needed more vaccines. Yet Biden is insistent about opening up 100 FEMA centers for vaccinating people. This is likely to cause its own problems as FEMA supplants the States.

And what's this about requiring COVID tests for domestic airline flights? Just before the holidays all the news networks had stories about how safe airline travel was. Besides, airline travel is only one component of people moving about in the country. What's next..... a COVID test before getting on the interstate?

Cancelling Thanksgiving would have helped. LA did okay for awhile. People just got too much spring in their step after the election with a vaccine coming out and went hog wild throwing caution to the wind at thanksgiving and Christmas. LA was a tinderbox waiting for a match. Too many poor people i.e. "essential workers" living packed like sardines in small spaces. It was bound to happen eventually I suppose. In a sense, going back to living normally like pre-covid became the booze and the drunks fell off the wagon.
