Well okay then. However I mean what I said. Progressives are the biggest prudes since 1950. Have you seen what they've done to comedy? Music? the Arts? Elderly Christian spinsters got nothing on these cats. Biggest fun-killers ever.

 

I so want to deposit this fatuous @sshat in some non-white part of the world, and keep her there til she realises the West (and all its Greco-Romano-Brit institutions and cultures) are the least racist and most free places on earth. That's assuming she didn't immediately die of shock in realising that life in such places is orders of magnitude less comfortable than anything she no doubt takes for absolute granted.

Gee, and maybe get to work on the criminal gangs that openly violates the rights of the law-abiding on the public streets?

Oh, rather than prohibit the message they disagree with? How 'novel'.

In '1876 and was presented to the city by the Italian-American community to commemorate the nation’s centennial.'

'The statue has been the subject of a long-running dispute between the city and the Friends of Marconi Plaza, where the likeness stands.'

'After protests about racial injustice began in June 2020 and some of them focused on the statue, Dem Mayor Kenney ordered its removal, calling it a matter of public safety. But last year a judge reversed the city’s decision, however, saying it had failed to provide evidence that the statue’s removal was necessary to protect the public.'

The judge's decision was welcomed by the city council member who represents this district.
