Then why no whining about the handgun. All the outrage is about the rifle.

    They don't understand handguns, perhaps?

Here in CA, laws were passed to limit the size of the clips, even in the handle of pistols.

Besides, put a gun on any table. Tell it to kill. If guns are the problem, that gun will leap off the table and rush out to kill humans.

The AR is designed for all legal and lawful purposes.

Actually the AR can be very apted for close quarters. Our police and military do it all the time.

It is useful for storming a house but not any better for close quarter attacks then a glock

Rifles are more difficult to wrestle away from their lawful owner than a handgun if a struggle should ensue. If discharge of a firearm is not an option, the barrel of the rifle can even be used for melee purposes, such as ramming the muzzle into the abdominal region of an attacker.

other than the thousands executed by their own government by gun shots to the back of their heads? great argument there Mike. police states tend not to have much violent crime other than violent crimes perpetrated on their own citizens by the government. Isn't it funny that those who most want to disarm the rest of us are the same ones who want more government

lol are you serious? what ever melee benefit you get you lose in quickness. Honestly I would rather deal with a person with a long gun then someone with a hand gun that can easily be manipulated and used in very close quarters.

Dunno, good luck to anyone foolish enough to try and wrestle any gun from me, they wont get close enough.
A really nice short AR rifle is handy, handles well and is quick.

What is the AR-15 designed for?

Easy to answer. The AR-15 was designed as a mechanism to:

    1. Cause liberals to s-hit bricks when in the presence of one
    2. Tie the panties of liberals into a knot.
    3. Illustrate that liberals cannot win most arguments without lying about the facts.
