You know thats false, cant you post anything that is true? I fully admit to the zionist J-Ws holocausting close to 1/2 million men women and children in less than 12 hours no less, the are very efficient holocausters indeed
Here you go Bisquit, have a read of this. Of course his most famous prophecy was that there would be a race war. What I find interesting is that his followers could still claim that is going to happen. I believe the best way to understand the old Prophets is to understand how they work in our society now and understand the mental health issues that drive some of them and the power and greed that drives others. https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/article/9-things-know-manson-family-cult/
I believe we can safely conclude that there are no actual prophets and have never been any, just con men and their intended victims.
yes totally true, if you enjoy believing in your own fallacious illusions, nice way to end your failure to prove the point!
RE: What makes a false prophet? SUBTOPIC: Recognition ⁜→ Well Bonded, et al, BLUF: Periodically a religious personality appears and is labeled something Special. (COMMENT) We sometimes refer to them as "Cults." Sometimes they are quite small (Manson Family) and sometimes the cult is quite large (Church of Scientology). A few are quite wealthy. But they all have a central personality that is spiritually revered. ◈ Adam Weishaupt ◈ David Berg ◈ Jim Jones ◈ David Koresh ◈ Sun Myung Moon ◈ L. Ron Hubbard And if personalities such as this emerged in the 20th Century, what could have emerged in the first millennium BCE. Remember, many of the Kings of Old believed they were anointed by "God;" just as it is claimed that "God" anointed Jesus of Nazareth (The Messiah) with the Holy Spirit and supernatural powers. There are tomb inscriptions found in the Book of the Dead that date back 3500 years ago, even though the Book itself doesn't appear until 50 BCE. Most Respectfully, R
What makes a false prophet? No such thing. Prophecies are opinions since people can't contact the future. Opinions are not right or wrong, true or false. The are simply opinions.
And if they were presented as opinions, they wouldn't be considered God given prophesy. Christians believe in an all knowing God with perfect knowledge of past present and future, and who occasionally shares this future knowledge with the world through select people. The status bestowed on those people as conduits of God's word is enormous. To portray an opinion as prophesy given by God is an affront to the omnipotence of God, and was once deserving of a death sentence.
nah Id rather remind you of yout strawman fallacy I didnt see you quote anything that koresh prophesied, after all that is what prophets do. One thing he has in common with JC is the gov executed him for his religious beliefs. In fact that was a law breaking clinton that did that
I agree in a sense. The closest thing to god for me is mother nature, the laws of physics. They are consistent and predictable or, to put it another way, all-knowing
good luck with that, hatch couldnt align the satelites using einies [meta]physics, since relativity and special relativity do not come up with the same answer, and in practice both were wrong. He aligned them using newtonian lorentz td formulas. Now you can use a satelite to write your name on a piece of paper
You claimed you had evidence of a real prophet but you refuse to show us the evidence. Do you want to make any other claims and hide from them or will this suffice?
Trump may have still 'won in a landslide' and we wouldn't know it. If that was their claim, then this is what they'll claim./ If, however, they claimed that God told them Trump would stay in office but Biden becomes President on Jan 20th, then yes, they are false prophets. Biden is not President yet. And either way, I suspect they are false prophets.
As I said earlier in this thread, I'm not aware of any way to prove or disprove the divinity of any person. I do find it odd that a supposed omnipotent being would leave it up to the individual to decide if they thought he was God, especially since eternal life depends on that decision. Seems kinda heartless and cruel to me.
There are 40,000 different sects of Christianity. So, I think the interpretation is what is important and which one does God sanction? The general understanding is a Christian is one who accepts Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. And, accepts the Bible as the Word of God. Based on your sect, there may be more or less. Some think that's all that is necessary. Others believe as James taught, "Faith without works is dead." So, you have to show your faith by being baptized, confirmed a member of Christ's Church and receive the Holy Ghost. And, then how should the ordinance of Baptism be performed makes a difference to the Church you belong to. Emersion? Sprinkling? What kind is important to the church you belong to. So, just saying the Bible doesn't answer the question.
All the Bible says is accepting Jesus, the rest is just fluff. However if you do accept him you should at least be trying to live up to what he preached. We of course will all fail in some way but it's the trying part that is important. Is someone says they are a Christian it's usually pretty easy to tell if they are actually trying to be one or simply mumbling the words. Lots of fake ones out there.
