My first boyfriend had a pet spider. I thought it was odd at first, but it surprisingly turned out to be a gentle creature.
my phobias increased after I had my kids, I think it's a maternal instinct thing Spiders, (I've always had this fear) but also these after I had children heights small spaces not breathing... like drowning or asphyxiation hospitals and doctors being powerless/motionless when someone is hurting my kids
I'll still handle a large glass object when I have to. But everytime I do I can feel my bp rising.... The anxiety comes from the thought of a large piece shattering on me. So to clarify it's the thought or task of picking up unsecured pieces that cause this reaction from me.
A very interesting critter. Where ever Funnel webs (including where I live) are found, all ambulances carry antivenin, just in case. Their venom only effects primates, so if your dog or cat gets bitten, they won't be effected. Funnel webs are also a favourite food of bandicoots. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bandicoot
Anything that has to do with my feet, be it they get wet or hurt. I wear socks all the time because it makes me feel like my feet are safer, which is an improvement I suppose to when I wore shoes all the time.
Large spiders found anywhere in my house. We always have spiders in the fall but one year we had more than usual. It was awful...huge fast ones with crooked legs. Crocs and alligators are on my list also. If I saw one stroll in my garage or across my lawn Id probably start crying. lol Why are they still on this earth.
A lot of people who say they are afraid of heights are actually afraid of falling. Kind of a different fear though they blur together depending on the circumstances. I fear Alzheimer's. It is an irrational fear since nobody in my family on either side has had it. Most never get more than very mild dementia secondary to their terminal declines from other things.
I don't really have phobias, I just have a few natural fears. I'm not too fond of tight, dark spaces, but not to the point of irrational fear. I don't much like depths (i.e. looking down from heights) (I have no problem looking up at heights). I do have a fear of murky water, but it doesn't stop me from swimming in murky water. Not a big fan of bugs crawling on me either.
Alligators are an important part of the Everglades ecosystem. That, and they are just cool. - - - Updated - - - A bad roommate translates to someone you shouldn't marry. If it irritates you the first years together, it's not going to stop irritating you in 15 years.
I don't like snakes. I have a phobia about talking with anyone about the subject of death. Last time I did, my friend was dead a week later.
I've got more phobias than you can shake a stick at. I'll list them when I have a week or two to spare.
Going to get a little technical here, but.... Gerascophobia (the fear of aging) Acrophobia (fear of heights) Entomophobia (fear of insects, yes even afraid of spiders, beetles, stinkbugs and crickets) Telephone Phobia (yes, that's actually a documented phobia)
I don't like heights. In a previous life I probably fell off a bridge or something. Like Indiana Jones, I also don't like snakes.
