The problem with police using horses is the media and Dems will use it to race bait. What was it that Kommie
Said? Reminded her of slavery days, or something to that effect.
Funny thing is it’s Xidens BP using the horses. That freakin Xiden is a known racist and this is just more proof.

How are you suggesting that they should have been treated? Simply allowed further into the country?

If it were the Trumpf administration, there'd be no horses since he would have sold them to the glue factory and instead of horses being used, he would have likely had US Border Guards open up on them with machine guns thus already making an already bad situation worse.

You don't know anything about public relations then. The US is already starting to be condemned based on the pictures that were taken.

No I think they should have been rounded up, quarantined and deported. I'll bet if got an interpreter, and approached them humanely a more positive result could have been achieved.

Yes, so my point is that Biden could have reversed the decision, or else not allowed Majorkas to make the decision in the first place. So he OWNS the decision.

Firstly your assuming Biden knew about the decision before or at least shortly after it as made. Why?

Secondly why would Majorkas (or any other Senior Official for that matter ) be obliged to tell the President about every decision they made (assuming it even was him in this case, which we don't know yet)?

This goes strait back to my point about the President (any President) being expected to be across every single decision their subordinates make 24/7. Its a completely unreasonable proposition, regardless of who's in the chair. Big decisions? Yes. "We're reviewing our use of horses in border control." Really? The only justification Majorkas would have had for telling Biden about it would have been if he knew in advance the decision was likely to be controversial. Given its initial nature how was he supposed to know that ? Physic powers?

To be clear, the issue blew up in the media after the decision was made. At best Biden could have reversed it as soon as the issue became newsworthy and he was briefed on it. But by then any damage (and really what 'damage' has there been really?) was already done. If this decision was 'permanent' it might be worth the Presidents office investing time in dealing with it it. But since its a review why? Chances are the horses will be back in the field in a couple of weeks anyway. And reversing it then would have just made the Administration look like it was 'flip flopping' and weak.

And by then his critics will have moved on to other critical blunders he made. You know 'key' issues like what color tie he's chose to wear at his most recent press conference and how far his dementia has advanced because he's mispronounced 'necessarily' or something else in a speech. I blame President's for the big stuff (that's their job) not the little stuff. You want to blame someone for this ? Find out who made this decision first.

They were let loose into the US... Well .... they really don't know how many they let go.... Covid infected and what ever criminals that wanted to come through...

Approximately, I think it's about 10,000 or so, 12,000," DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told Fox News Sunday, adding that the number could go up as the 5,000 other cases are processed.
    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/more-than-12k-migrants-del-rio-released-into-us

Give or take a few thousand... who's counting...
Mayorkas says as many as 12K out of 17K migrants have been released into US, and ‘it could be higher

That's spin. The K to 12K have been released pending a hearing. Over 15K have been deported back. Of those waiting for a hearing there is nothing certain about the outcome. It's a process called due process. Shall we start denying due process. Would you like to be first?

That is outrageous. Using horses is police SOP in crowd control, that is if they have horses.
That implies they did something wrong. Using horses for crowd control is police SOP.

OH, I see what you mean. But I still don't know why you think that foreigners from a non-English speaking country are listening to American political commentators.

I don't understand why they would be deported under the CDC's COVID health order if they end up staying beyond 14 days, or if they test negative. And I'm assuming that these 12 thousand are people who have been determined to have genuine asylum claims. Otherwise why the hell were they let in!

Because he is the President presiding over this border crises. And the decision can STILL be reversed, even this many days after! So what are you talking about?

The issue I was responding to was the question of who made made the decision i.e. at what level in the bureaucracy it was made and when. As to can it be reversed? Of course it can, but as far as I am aware the horse issue is currently merely under 'review' i.e. their use is 'suspended' not permanently cancelled. So we'll see what happens.

You'd most likely be the first one to publicly whine about how other nations are viewing the US and blame it on the current president because that would be the only out you have.
