I don't know if you can get a tattoo over a bad scar. That is a pretty good idea if you do have a bad scar if you can though. I don't see why you couldn't cover a birth mark with a tattoo. I think that's a pretty legit reason to get one, I suppose. I'm mostly just talking about people who are really out of control with it, so that they are barely recognizable.

I had a GF in Japan with a huge dragon on her thigh breathing hot fire onto her nether region

Just look at Mily Cyrus before and after tattoos

I wonder if women know how most men really feel about tattoos on a woman

I dont even like them on a man. I made it through 4 years in the Marines and never got one

Lmao, tattoos was the last touch she needed to go full obnoxious. She was actually kind of pretty during her Disney days but has completely uglified herself. :puke:

    Some couples seem to like it lololz;

Not that I have any scars or birth marks that I am ashamed of, but I really do not have the body nor the personality to carry a tattoo. Luckily I absolutely hate them and think they scream semi-tarded degeneracy so I am fine without one. :p

At times, they can be useful.

    TRUE STORY:

I'm on the golf course and I could not find my lighter. Really wanted to light my cigar...BUT NO LIGHTER...and no one in my group had fire.

As we're coming off one of the greens, I see a cart with a guy on it smoking a cigar...so I walk over and ask for a light.

Keep in mind...this is New Jersey!

I was wearing a NY Giants cap. He was wearing a Philadelphia Eagles cap.

    "Hey, gotta light?"

"Not for anyone wearing a Giants hat, I ain't!" (Not a smile on his face!)

"Ummm...well, maybe this will make a difference," says I, as I lift my pant leg.

Guy smiles and holds out a lighter for my cigar.

The same rule of thumb applies. If you don't care what other people think you wouldn't be "insecure" about it. Hence, getting a tattoo to cover your blemish is ......... for the benefit of what others think. Getting a tattoo is for the purpose of making an impression on other people. Obscuring a blemish serves the same purpose.

Interesting you said all of that. I was in Tokyo on R & R 1966. I decided to go down to the wharf, considering getting a tattoo. But on the way I met a Japanese girl. A normal girl, no hooker. We spent the day and well .... some time together. I forgot all about getting a tattoo.

While I am no the subject, I met a merchant marine in the Nam who had a tattoo of a cat on his back chasing a mouse up his .... you know.

Oh yeah there are all types, but I don't think there's a single person who specifically cares about you and your opinion about their tattoo. And if they ever did that feeling was probably pretty fleeting because people don't keep dramatic people like you in their lives for very long. And you're absolutely right if people want to avoid drama they don't go on to political forums.

    Check your spelling:

"Everything" is spelled with an "E".
"Tattoos" is spelled with a "T".

There was a guy in my squadron that had a squirrel running up his left leg about 6 inches from his crotch and on the other leg he had one coming down with a nut in its hands

It's so rare to see someone correct another person's spelling without screwing up their own spelling. Good job sir.

When I see a tattoo on a pretty woman I like it as it is edgy and makes me think she is more into walking her own path rather than blindly conforming. Conformity is a bane to personal freedom. I thank God that I was lucky enough to be born into a country where I am allowed to be what I want to be as opposed to being what others want me to be.

Are you joking? Has it been many years since you were in town? If you do not see a woman's tattoo, the question is not if she has one, but what do you have to do for her to allow you to see it. With that in mind it is the woman without a tattoo who is "walking in her own path". Tattoos on women is rampant.

    No

    Red herring.

Are you arguing that tattoos on women are lures to get men into bed? I assume that in some cases they are yet in other cases they are not. Have you ever asked a woman why she has a tattoo? I am betting the answer would vary from woman to woman.

I think both are walking their own path as what having or not having a tattoo says is relative to each individual observer thus subjective. I can see beauty in both tattooed women and women who prefer not to have a tattoo. Tattoos are superficial, as are the biased judgments against those who have them.

I hate to be a guy who answers a question with another question, but ..... why are you making that assumption?

The answer to that question is too obvious. It is "to follow the trend". Not to attract a male, but to be accepted by their female friends as part of their 'click'.

No. I do not agree. Tattoos are an insight into a woman's character. The same for cosmetics, high-heeled shoes, silly-cone breasts, botox lips, plucked/painted/tattooed eyebrows, fake eyelashes, etc. I agree with you that there are biases to be found - but not in the fact that tattoos do offer an insight into a woman's character, but in the interpretation as what those insights mean.

What assumption do you perceive in my asking "Are you arguing that tattoos on women are lures to get men into bed?"

Says who and by what authority?

Who gets to decide what a woman's tattoo says and by what authority? Why not simply ask the woman what if anything she is trying to say by having a tattoo?

Source citation needed for claimed fact.

The interpretation makes it subjective as not all humanity will interpret the same tattoo in the same way.

What is that supposed to mean? You think I care about you or something? Well that would be very strange considering I don't even know who in the hell you are!

Look, I don't like tattoos on women, K? End of story.
