So you really believe a couple of billion will die ?

Which one of us is it 'doesnt know what they are talking about' again because this is pure loony tunes straight off the deep end alarmist BS ? :eyepopping:

I'm just very curious about where you got this ludicrous 2 billion figure from. SKS perhaps ? :roflol:

the laugh is on you both experience high day time temps the Gobi hitting 45c in summer, they're both very cold at night winter and summer because they lack moisture H20, H20 being a GHG...a warming planet is causing both Gobi and Sahara to expand...

we evolved in africa because the temp was favourable to hairless primates, not for developing civilizations, the climate/conditions are very hostile to civilzation...

    that's naive and ill-informed

    as did I, so what...

which is pure BS and why I now doubt you have any tertiary education, the hard CO2 data is there and it correlates with temp rise, saying otherwise is pure denierism not skepticism, not even the skeptical climatologists deny it there is a CO2 increase...but you insist when it comes to CO2 that normal action and reaction process does not occur, which is an absolute scientific impossibility...you want to change the laws of physics...
there is no way anyone who studied physics as you claim to have done would make such an assertion...

there is absurd logic and denier-ism and a general lack of very very basic science knowledge in the forum...

    some can't interpret/read a simple graph

others want to deny basic physics-action and reaction...changing the make up of a gas will have no effect on it's properties, who knew!

others are hopelessly illogical...Mt Pinatubo can erupt and it's emissions SO2 can cool the earth but CO2 emissions are to insignificant to warm the planet.... even though anthropogenic emissions dwarf Pinatubo's emissions, 9 billion tons of anthropogenic CO2 compared to Pinatubo's 17 million tons of SO2

and now the magical unknown cosmic rays...I guess the tin foil hat crowd knew it all along...

You are pretty out of touch with current events. CO2 has risen the last 15 years but temperature hasn't. The Warmers have had to scramble to try and explain that away.

Roy L. is correct, the warming scare is predicated completely on computer models based on a hypothesis that cannot be proven in a lab and not on empirical evidence. What you call the "normal" reaction is not a proven fact in a chaos filled atmosphere that cannot be modeled and will not any time soon and the evidence shows that CO2 often lags temperature, not the other way around.

Some cannot capitalize their sentences (or understand the science for that matter).

More ignorance. They get both hotter and colder -- mostly colder -- because they lack insulating cloud cover. Clouds are not water vapor, and cool the planet by increasing albedo.
The Sahara is shrinking, as expected in a warmer, wetter world.
<yawn> I guess that must be why Egypt, in Africa, was the earliest cradle of civilization.
It is fact. Warmer climate accelerates the hydrological cycle, leading to more rainfall and more productive biomes. That's why warmer eras used to be called, "optimums," before that term was ruled politically unacceptable.

The high rate of growth on global temperatures is not a good thing by any measurement. The kind of change being discussed is going to be extremely difficult for adaptation especially if we start hitting the higher marks. I have serious doubt that civilization could survive 8C/100 years.

No one is denying the existence of tbe greenhouse gas effect. Roy is merely pointing out that tbe temperature on venus is due also to other factors.

you can't read a grade school graph(a trend is single data point :roflol:)...nothing you post has any relevance...

Sorry, but I look at the evidence, not grade school graphs. Maybe you should quit relying on them.

    wrong again...Sahara expanding...

    http://www.alternet.org/story/152253/expanding_desert,_falling_water_tables,_and_toxic_pollutants_are_driving_people_from_their_homes
the Sahara was considerably wetter at the end of the last age, as temps warmed further, it grew and continues to grow...

double yawn...first civilization by a considerable margin was in Mesopotamia, are you tired of being wrong yet?...and man didn't evolve in Egypt, as you claimed - RoyL "Not surprising, as we evolved in tropical Africa"- man evolved in sub-Saharan Africa roy not Egypt, Egypt is not in sub-Sahara Africa...

optimum is a misinterpreted term and relative...just as global warming was incorrect to be replaced by the more accurate Climate Change...optimums for the arctic is the complete opposite than it is for a tropical rainforest, to suggest one temp is optimum means the other cannot be, but nature doesn't see it that way both are correct...

explain how you can look at scientific evidence when you can't read the evidence contained in a grade school graph?...

that's like someone being illiterate and claiming they read the evidence in a book...

clouds not water vapor?... and CO2 operates independently outside the laws of physics....and invisible forces are at work in unknown cosmic rays(magic)...what next?

really? every scientist on the planet uses those grade school graphs to track and interpret their data...what wonderful method have you devised?

The effect of cosmuc rays on cloud seeding has been proven in laboratory experiments. If you regard that as magic then I suggest yoy get back ti the 12th century.

Thanks. I suspected you'd expose your ignorance on that one...
According to AGW climate models, anyway....
Any competent physicist can tell you that invisible forces are at work in unknown ways -- and there is nothing magical about it.

I do not believe you. You post too many howlers.
    Already disproved:
Even to use the term, "denierism" is anti-scientific garbage.
<yawn> When did I deny there is a CO2 increase?

I have said no such thing, and you know it.
Which is probably why you made it up.
