Evidence that the union of border patrol agents support the shutdown is not sufficient evidence to prove that a majority or even a significant amount of federal workers support the shutdown.

The Border Patrol agents and their union don't speak for the majority (great unwashed) nor do they claim to. Rather they are Subject Matter Experts.

 

During the "press conference," the border patrol union boss said that it was false to claim that most federal workers do not support the shutdown specifically because the border patrol agents do support the shutdown.

 

Simply look at the make-up of the Democratic Congressional members vs the Republican Congressional members.

But Trump never does anything just for the heck it if. I he decided to let himself be pictured in the briefing room then there is a reason for that.
And the reason is that we're well on our way to the imminent end of the Trump Presidency. Finally and thank heavens!
Trump has made it perfectly clear that he has no intention of re-opening the government OR that he cares any longer about the fate of the American people.



And today Trump declared he could call a national emergency over his wall-idea.
But is that really what he said?
Because without the word wall, it's just a national emergency, right? Suspension of Government. Constitutional crisis. Martial law. We've seen this coming for two years.

It is very clear now that Trump is preparing for the final showdown with Mueller. The Democrats now control the investigation and whatever that turns up.
Trump has twittered, without end, that there is no Russian collusion or any other wrongdoing on his part regarding the 2016 election.
Well, if he had nothing to hide why oppose the investigation in the first place?

Only a guilty man would be afraid of the truth or, in case of blabber-mouth Trump, is unable to hide what really haunts his mind; fear of being de-throned.



This government shutdown has nothing to do with a wall. The wall is, and always has been, Trumps idea to use as an excuse to suspend the government in case Mueller was going to nail him.
And so it has happened as we all suspect would happen.

This last chapter in Trump's Game of Thrones has commenced. Trump now feels the need to present himself to his base as the President under threat. Thus his appearance behind the Presidential lectern.
Psychotic Trump still thinks his few remaining supporters will come and rescue him with torches and pitchforks from Muellers clutches.

Yeah, clearly this is an individual looking for the anarchy of nation that he thinks will save his Presidency.

The Republicans could end the standoff by agreeing with the Democrats on the spending bill. (Without wall money.)
But they do not and with a good reason; they want Trump evicted from the White House just as much as the Democrats and every other American.

So the standoff continues and it must be up to the special investigation to bring it tot an end. (By ending Trump's Presidency.)

Trump, meanwhile, is in his foxhole, preparing last desperate measures to escape his impeachment.
And make no mistake; he will 'use' every last American, and the country as a whole, to save his diseased skin and stay in power.

Even if it means blowing up democracy.
