What time period did you grow up in the South? It must have been since pc took over there...because historically it was a polite term for blacks as was the term 'colored'...most people when trying to be polite would use one or the other or some times the term nigra.

I believe in white people. I am white. I am proud of the good things my people have accomplished. We've brought western medicine to the world. We've brought freedom and capitalism to tyrannical people. We've protected South Korea from the North. Look at how many people we've saved from absolute tyranny. We are the glue that holds the world together. I aspire to be like the good things of our people. However we have a dark side and your ideology is part of it. It's destructive to the point it leaves continents in ashes for hundreds of years. It collapses empires because it does not play to the greatest strength of White people and that is cooperation. If you seek to destroy then destruction is what you will find. Both in your life, the lives of people around you, and so on.

I wasn't comparing dirt-ignorant populations of screwed-up African countries with Haiti; I was comparing other largely Negroid populations of other Caribbean nations with Haiti. In fact, several of those African countries experience now what Haiti experienced then; effective quarantine and neglect as they slaughter each other and generally behave badly. So we're looking at Haiti that was founded upon white tyrannical rule and slavery where the "Western ideology of progress, whose origins can be found in European thinkers such as Locke, Kant and Adam Ferguson" was never instilled in the People. Since independence from French control Haiti has followed the political model of tyranny established by the French and has never actually been a true "Republic" in anything except name. The government has been subjected to repeated coups where there has never been any concerns related to the "welfare of the People" by any regime. Local communities fall under the tyrannical control of "generals" in the military.

Haiti is actually a perfect example of how tyrannical colonialism leads to a degenerated political state.

Of course African-Americans in the United States are a perfect example of what happens when a minority is oppressed by the invidious prejudice and discrimination by a majority in any nation. Do we seriously expect African-Americans to believe in the Western ideology of progress, whose origins can be found in European thinkers such as Locke, Kant and Adam Ferguson, while we deny them equality in our nation?

Whenever there is injustice that results in the oppression of the People it results in negative consequences for the entire nation and those negative consequences last for generations even when they are finally addressed. It is a lesson we should all learn and understand.
