The fire station closest to my home has been shut down temporarily. Too many with COVID, not enough to staff it.

Well, you believe that President Trump is an imposter and a russkies agent. Why should I not have my own believes?

WOW... may not be a bad idea for all your neighbors to by a couple of buckets and keep them filled with water and sand.

Emergency response facilities should never be closed or understaffed, or defunded.

I agree. It's a shame that covidiots being maskholes have put us in the situation we are in. If everyone had done the things, this would have been over by now.

We can't just take the unemployed burger flipper and put him on a fire truck, though, can we?

During the last 4 days I have become aware of 2 cases in which a fully masked and PPEed person has become infected.

The young cousin of a good friend, a fervent mask wearer at age 25, became infected about a week ago. No hospital, lives in Kentucky, strong symptoms but feels she will survive.

Another young woman working in a hospital, fully complying with PPE protocol, became infected in the delivery room.

Anecdotal, but 2 examples of the very low efficacy of masks. Even MSM has described many examples of those wearing PPE becoming infected.

So why do we wear masks again? Oh yes, to achieve nirvana in a mask induced false sense of security.

Nah we were told 3 million deaths and 30 million cases, Trump and DRs told you 150k to 220k this year was our model.......The CDC goal was to slow the spread to give hospitals a chance to care for those that have to go to the hospital.

The CDC goal was to scare hell out of Americans. It worked very predictably.

No it's not. It's a scary level of uncertainty. I have a friend who (barely) survived this horror and she's deathly afraid of catching it again

Sorry, I only deal in facts. Over 10,000,000 recovered cases now and not one verified case of reinfection. Almost all the recent discoveries point to existence of immunity, not the lack thereof. Especially in symptomatic individuals.

Please don’t spam me with the anecdotal stories of reinfection without any good supporting evidence. I’ve addressed them all before. The only people who fall for them don’t understand the effect false negative and positive test results play in such stories as well as the difference between presence of viral RNA and presence of infectious virons.

I deal with many things that can kill a person daily. Respect for things that can kill you is usually better than fearing them. When we are in a state of fear we often make poor decisions.

Nonsense. Act like this thing is no big deal and you get it. Get it and you might die

We're rapidly approaching ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND deaths in just months

So you proselytize. With an infection fatality rate of .65, it doesn't kill many. With the broad consensus that the numbers have been cooked all to hell for months, that those dying with the virus are presumed to have died from the virus accounts from all over the country, the IFR is likely even much lower than that.

And that fits in with what I'm seeing among friends and acquaintances. Many dozens infected, none sent to hospital, and I still don't know anybody who died from it.

Sigh. It's not about deaths. That's important, but it's not the only consideration. How many times do you deniers have to be told this?

Not had it and dont know anyone who has either...

I am supposed to be shielding because according to the NHS and Gov, I am "clinically vulnerable" because I take 2 immunosuppressants...

I have not listended to their advice to stay indoors since 23rd March, I go out daily to the shops with no mask .. And you know the reason why I have not caught the virus (and its not racist)? Because practically everyone is white around here..

There has been the odd couple of deaths here and there attributed to covid but its the multicutural areas that is awash with this virus...

Just look at the interactive map...

The Virus is erm racist... Its 96% white here in North Yorkshire and no coronavirus problems..

The virus is most definatly targeting ethnic minorities, Asians and brown/black people with low vitamin d levels...

No, the virus is not racist. It definitely still maims and kills millions of white people. Please stop posting racist ****.

Apparently, 75.6% of deaths happen for those over the age of 65.

Every where here that has high covid infection rates have areas with large ethnic minority populations of 25-50%.The white areas of these towns and cities are largly unaffected and thats fact.... They are all also mainly Labour run council areas... Hopefully the Labour Party will be bankrupt soon from all the ongoing litigation against them..

I was never tested, but from about mid-January to mid-March I had colds back to back. One was really weird - one evening high fever came out of nowhere, then next day like nothing happened. The sinus infection reappeared at least once a week.

    Judging from this:
    https://www.nature.com/articles/s41577-020-0389-z

I have a working theory - if you have a common cold (based on regular corona virus) in a relatively short period of time before COVID-19 infection, your immune system remembers the virus and your COVID-19 will be mild or asymptomatic.

A few years ago I went for a checkup and mentioned to the doc that I’m having a weird cough that doesn’t bother me much. So, she took a swab from my nose and sent it with the nurse for office tests. When it came back I was shocked - I had a flu. I was asymptomatic carrier - no fever, nothing. So, I know for a fact that I once was a carrier of flu like that and my experience at the beginning of the year leads me to think I had COVID-19. Everyone in my office was sick back then, some even had to go to emergency room, but nobody got tested back then.

My wife has been in denial for about 3 days over being sick. She was up all night with nausea and kind of hysterical this morning. I drove her to the ER. The doctor didn't touch her, didn't give her a covid test, and didn't give her any medicine for covid19, but she did give her some medicine for nausea and she has been resting well all day. Other than the nausea, her symptoms don't seem to be any worse than mine or my son's.

Well... yeah, I guess you are right.
But I remember it was a major epidemic going on, everyone on TV was talking about severe symptoms, and my symptoms were so mild that I didn’t even consider myself sick.
