What could possibly go wrong? Trump no doubt admires Putin for his ability to just kill any media person who exposes his lies and thievery. If Trump had his way, he would have all reporters and cable news hacks shut down or killed too, except for ass lickers like Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh.

I do not doubt that Putin and his international band of super criminals are using Trump to expand their enterprises. However it would not surprise me if a greedy megalomaniac like Trump is involved in collusion. His whole group excluding General Mattis and a few others already smell like a toilet in Vladavastog. I think you are overestimating this Trump guy. You need to try to free yourself from this simplistic: 'Democrat bad, Republican good' world view. But I have two friends who know the real Donald Trump.

So I wasn't surprised last week when Vladimir Putin was being interviewed and when asked about President Trump he said exactly what my two friends said... The Donald Trump you see in front of a camera isn't the same Donald Trump when he's not in front of the camera.

I have several friends and bussiness associates who have been cheated by Trump's companies in Atlantic City, Jersey City and NYC. He is known there as Donny no pay. He has thousands of pending lawsuits regarding cheating hard working contractors out of their money. The record is clear. I have also heard that like Don King and Bill Clinton, (both friends of Trump) that he is very charming in person if you are invited to an event where he happens to be. He comes off a lot like King in that he is definitely a world class con artist. It is well known that Putin is in league with Russian international mafiosos that make the old Gambino Family look like a bunch of punk kids in a street gang. Putin has access to more cash than Trump could even imagine getting his hands on. Trump is totally obsessed with being filthy rich and I would guess that Putin is his idol and Trump feels that he might be able to get his hands on a couple hundred billion by hanging out with him and making some deals. I think it is a good thing that the press is putting him under a michroscope as it pertains to his dealings with Russia and Putin. Better safe than sorry.

 

I have a friend who was a sub contractor (electrical) who worked on one of Trump's projects in California.

What I hear Trump is a perfectionist and he knows the trades and would make a NYC or LA building inspector blush.

I disagree with you about Trump. You seem to have been hoodwinked by this guy. He does not fool me for a second. He did pull off the absolute biggest upset in US political history and he definitely can not be underestimated, but in opinion, he is a greedy little prick who would sell us out in a heartbeat if he thought he could get his mitts on a couple hundred billion. Putin is a dangerous criminal in my book who will do anything including mass murder to stay in power. I think this is the very foundation of the issue. Capitalists (generally speaking, The Right) embrace 'the grand contest of liberty' and appreciate a good (skilled but fair) competitor, even (or especially) when that competitor beats them. Its a challenge to rise to.

Collectivists (generally speaking, The Left) see competition as wasteful, uncooperative, threatening, an enemy. Its an impedence to progress.

So Russia is both, because both are the same, just perceived differently from our increasingly ideologically divided population.

 

After 5 pages of responses I expect someone has said this by now, but the reason Russia is the world's number one badass is because every country needs a badass so that 1) its senior military jobsworths can justify their existence, 2) appear to be indispensable by constantly updating infrastructure procurement, and by so doing 3) hold on to their jobs-for-life.
