In Trumps last 18 months as president, we lost no troops in Afghanistan. Biden is a liar.

Biden has vaccines. Biden is losing more per day to CV19 than Trump lost. Biden has no plan.

Fallacy, argumentum ad hominem: The OP's family is not the topic. A factual rebuttal will better-support your argument.

which is why we should all support a good economy for everyone

when the rich say they got there and do not care about society, just like Rome... society can fall

people have to be able to support themselves and their families, or it all falls apart

nobody wants their child to grow up to be a criminal. many parents discover that not even military academy can instill discipline into their spoiled entitled children.

Poverty is simply an arbitrary number made up by the state bean counters. If the poverty line is $20,000 and you earn $20,001, you're still poor. The relevant metric in this discussion -- in my view -- is economic independence. That means earning enough money to live the lifestyle of your choosing without outside assistance.

To achieve that there are only two requirements: 1. a marketable skill that adds value; 2. the capacity to apply that skill to a commercial activity.

The path to that objective obviously varies widely by individual, locale, generation, culture, etc..

The policies of the left assume that nobody is capable of meeting that objective without their magnanimous paternalism and generosity with other people's money. The policies of the right assume that everybody is capable (assuming sound mind and body) of meeting that objective and that it is up to each individual to access their potential. Though I tend to favor the latter, I concede that the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

Have you ever tried to tell a drunk to stop drinking?
How about a pot smoker. Tell one of them they damage their brains and they claim it is a lie.
When people have the determination to remain poor, a chat does not change them.
I have pointed out the failures of Democrats zillions of times. I notice not one Democrat repents. Often they double down so determined to have a failed country are they.

You simply refuse to accept that Biden is the president, not Trump.

Can you provide a list of promises President Trump kept? I'm having a hard time thinking of any. Oh well, making Mexico pay for his wall... How about releasing his tax returns? Repealing Obozocare? Constitutional carry? Oh wait, he didn't do any of that.

President Trump should release his tax returns. | PoliticalForum.com - Forum for US and Intl Politics

Trumps tax returns were not a function of Government.
Trump seems to be the only president held to account for another country and it's payment for defense of them.
Trump was never congress. Thus how could he repeal things?

Here is a starter list of kept promises.

    https://trumpwhitehouse.archives.gov/trump-administration-accomplishments/

    Unprecedented Economic Boom
Before the China Virus invaded our shores, we built the world’s most prosperous economy.

    • America gained 7 million new jobs – more than three times government experts’ projections.
    • Middle-Class family income increased nearly $6,000 – more than five times the gains during the entire previous administration.
    • The unemployment rate reached 3.5 percent, the lowest in a half-century.
    • Achieved 40 months in a row with more job openings than job-hirings.
    • More Americans reported being employed than ever before – nearly 160 million.
    • Jobless claims hit a nearly 50-year low.
    • The number of people claiming unemployment insurance as a share of the population hit its lowest on record.
    • Incomes rose in every single metro area in the United States for the first time in nearly 3 decades.
Delivered a future of greater promise and opportunity for citizens of all backgrounds.

    • Unemployment rates for African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, Native Americans, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those without a high school diploma all reached record lows.
    • Unemployment for women hit its lowest rate in nearly 70 years.
    • Lifted nearly 7 million people off of food stamps.
    • Poverty rates for African Americans and Hispanic Americans reached record lows.
    • Income inequality fell for two straight years, and by the largest amount in over a decade.
    • The bottom 50 percent of American households saw a 40 percent increase in net worth.
    • Wages rose fastest for low-income and blue collar workers – a 16 percent pay increase.
    • African American homeownership increased from 41.7 percent to 46.4 percent.

Robert, you need to re-read what I posted.

First off, what is a horse cop? Is that like the ASPCA Police? Can you elaborate more on that?

I said that Trump was a moral blank, not a moral bully. By that I mean he has no moral values, the man is a cheater (cheated on at least two of his wives and who knows if he did the same to his current wife), has gone on the record of cheating contractors out of money they were owed, he's a congenital liar and based on his own words and actions I believe he is a pervert. When I was a kid, we looked up to the president and wanted to grow up and be like him. Is that the example you would want children to grow up seeing?

Biden didn't kill those American troops in Afghanistan, the Taliban or ISIS did; that's like saying Gerald Ford managed to get US Marines killed in South Vietnam during the evacuation. Both would be irresponsible statements to make.

I never said that Biden was third party so I'm not sure how you came up with that little surprise; last I checked he was a democrat. I think third party is better because both parties are a part of the same hypocrisy and only further to divide America then it has ever been.

So Biden's so-called mumbling is bothersome? I mean really?? That's really scraping the barrel IMO. Take a look at Trump who repeats himself in a sentence an average of 2-3 times and it has been said that he has the vocabulary of a sixth grader. Yes, Biden has made mistakes while giving a speech but so has Trump; remember when he talked about aircraft carriers during the revolutionary war?? Remember, Biden is no spring chicken and as people get older sometimes their speech isn't what it was 10 years prior. If that's the worst thing issue he has, then life isn't too bad.

were not talking about people that want to remain poor, your posted admitted that having the money to raise kids allows a rich parent an easier time doing so

but both rich and poor parents can be bad parents

as far as drugs and alcohol, people can use responsibly or not too

It sounds as if you judge your kids and grandkids by how much money they earn. How tragic.
If you must judge them, judge them for their compassion and empathy toward other people, the love they show toward their family members and their work ethic.
Even if one of my kids or grandkids became a millionaire, I wouldn't think more highly of them just because they had money.

Nor did I make that claim. I said he promised to release them. He even said they would be "beautiful." Still waiting... President Trump should release his tax returns. | PoliticalForum.com - Forum for US and Intl Politics

I have no idea what that's supposed to mean.

Do you dispute that he promised to repeal and replace Obozocare?

Thank you for the citation. Some of this list is accurate, some less-so. However, it does not address campaign promises as much as it is just a list of touted achievements. I am asking you to provide me with the promises he kept, not paste a link to a non-objective self-congratulatory historically-nebulous personal thank you note.

Let me ask you this then.
My 24 year old Grandson now owns his own home.
His younger brother making $17 per hour in NM is a renter.
The older boy can pay off his home pretty fast. His younger brother can't pay off a rental for himself, he can pay it off for the owner.
I am only commenting on two young men I happen to know pretty well given they are the sons of my daughter .
So what is tragic about reporting facts?

As to judging them, you judge me. And you do not know me. I know them.

The common theme of Democrats is it is wrong to have plenty of money.

Democrats equate that to a criminal act.
