Why Did Russians Choose to Assist Republicans?

First, it is important to understand that Russia actually means Putin.
Secondly, Putin simply HATES Clinton and by extension Democrats.
Third, Putin knows he can manipulate and use Trump and by extension Republicans to forward his plans (whatever they are) to weaken America and western powers.

There is also the underlying similarity and thus unstated agreement on the tactics used by the Republican machine and Russian Oligarchy that seem akin.

    Nah. Not even close.

Hillary is nothing but a puppet of the Globalists, just like Obama was. It's the Globalists that Putin/Russia fears, and a Hillary win would increase the threat to Russia.

Russia economically is ranked below California in Nominal GDP. The only thing it has to offer is energy. It's extremely vulnerable to the Globalists manipulations and control.

If the Progressive Globalists successfully placed Hillary in the White House, they could further marginalize Russia.

Trump is on record saying wouldn't it be better if we got along with Russia? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see who Russia would rather see in the White House.

I understand to gullible Progressives that means Trump will allow Russia to control the US, but that's just intellectually vacant sycophants responding to dog whistles.

Okay first off it wasn't nearly so much about helping Trump as it was about sowing discord and crippling Hillary's ability to govern. They along with damn near everyone else expected Hillary to win.

2nd Putin is not the second coming of Lenin, more like Peter the Great. Everything he does from riding bareback bare backed to the posing shirtless and what have you far more resembles the big czar (tsar if you prefer) than it does Lenin. He is, like the big czar, a Russian nationalist far more than he is a communist. How much of that is choice and how much of it is kowtowing to Russian political realities is anyone's guess but none the less that is the game he is currently playing.

3rd it isn't so much that he hates Hillary as it is that he correctly sees that America is the top dog in the world right now and while that's true Russia can't be the big dog so trying to destabilize the American political process is, to his old school nationalist mind, a good idea.

NATO! Just Google four words, "Clinton," "Kerry," "Putin," and "NATO." Take any top pick you find.

Putin hated Clinton from her Secretary of State days. He had trump tied up with trump needing Russia owned banks to loan him the money to build his tower in Russia. Trump would have made so much off the deal that he would have given the penthouse suite to Putin as a gift. True that things didn't work out as well as trump and Putin wished they had. First off, trump was too obvious in his unexplained adoration for Putin which prompted too many people to want to know why and start investigating.

What is an American who isn't a hypocrite? Even I'd be caught in my hypocrisy(such as my first blinding defense of the administration, but then I have to admit that the administration has had its murky relations that I now only hope don't result in toppling the administration, but it would be better served if Trump lost reelection and therefore left office like any other ordinary American President. That is my hope. I've wished for Empire, but out of a result of reconfiguration not dissolution of the Republic.)

As a English person, you might find it disappointing that the 'Yanks' are such hypocrites, I myself find it disappointing even as I am one. Even as I admire the aristocracy and desire nobility in the homeland. But it's our unique quirk. No other nation is as hypocritical and yet lovable(military notwithstanding, you and a lot of the world have the right to criticize us there. Snakestretcher was such a good poster.) as America.

Well you have had a party that could care less about regular people.
A party that hates all government.
A party that has made fake news for 30 years with think tanks and disinformation.
A base that is so gullible it believes everything its been told..

So really the chumps have been the GOP, and Russia could see that all the way.

Your good buddy Scott Walker got dumped by Wisconsin.
Now he wants to work for Trump filling the recently created vacancy for U.S. Secretary of Interior.

Maybe. She did him favors, though. He paid her and he got things he wanted from her. I don't think he feared retaliation from the US with her guiding foreign policy and directing the military. He annexed the Crimea under Obama without us lifting a finger. I would imagine Putin would think he was in for more of the same. Why rock the boat?

Maybe Putin saw Trump as a better way forward. Maybe the business side of Trump appealed to Putin. I don't find it odd at all that Trump would come into office with "warm and fuzzy" as opposed to hard line on Russia. He has been looking at different ways to get nations to the negotiation table and has been using different tactics. My own personal opinion is that no matter we do with the Russians (Putin), they will always look to screw the US over.

Don't forget the Hillary "reset button" ploy. Wasn't she trying to make nice, too?

Thanks for reply. You may be right.
But what percentage of those problems can be attributed to American businesses
cashing in on Chinese labor and services?
It seems that Republicans believe only they can solve all the problems...
but it also seems they are the ones that created them in the first place.
    Einstein:
“Problems cannot be solved with the same mind set that created them.”

"Trickle-down economics assumes investors, savers, and company owners are the real drivers of growth. It promises they’ll use any extra cash from tax cuts to expand businesses. Investors will buy more companies or stocks. Banks will increase lending. Owners will invest in their operations and hire workers. All of this expansion will trickle down to workers. They will spend their wages to drive demand and economic growth."
Am curious as to why all that "Trickle" ended up in China.
    Any ideas?

There are massive fallacies in your claims that indicate there is little chance to find a reasonable basis for discussion.

    Thanks for the exchange.

I know in the weird & whacky land of far right wing conspiracy theories, the far right actually, & amazingly, believes Putin loves Ms. Clinton and wanted her to be elected instead of Trump - which is the dead opposite of actual reality. There are real reasons why Putin hates Ms. Clinton, particularly from 2011 and on. I've linked a piece from the The Hill for you however, if you need more, type "why does Putin hate Hillary Clinton" in your Google machine......

Quit lying and quit spreading stupid whacky right wing conspiracy theories. No one sent any uranium to Russia, let alone "2/3 of our uranium". The gullibility of the fringe right wing is breathtaking, even Shep Smith at FOX news debunked this horsesh*t over a year ago and it still persists, spread amongst the far right wing whack jobs....including the pathological liar-in-chief.

"Comrade, apparently that crazy woman just won her party's nomination, and polls suggest she has the inside track to get her hands on the nuclear codes!"
"Holy crap, for the sake of humanity we need to stop her(!) - get Zuck on the line!"
    ....seems reasonable.
