I suspect you are right. And the proliferation of forced teaching of Progressivism, as the New State Religion, illustrates this nicely. The groupthink loyalty displayed by the indoctrinated lemmings from the state propaganda centers is clear evidence of what you say, here. “State propaganda, when supported by the educated classes and when no deviation is permitted from it, can have a big effect. It was a lesson learned by Hitler and many others, and it has been pursued to this day.” ~Noam Chomsky
I haven't been persecuted for Christianity or my conservative views... and I lived in the ME for decades.
I am not anti Christian just anti-ignorance towards the charlatans making money based on lies like Left Behind or Hal Lindsey and dozens of other skalawags. As for Islam.. I just know a lot about it.. That's education.
How about these replies? Would they count as 'persecution!' in Progresso world? I have trouble following the rules for victim posturing and oppressed people status, so I'll need someone fluent in identity politics to say if these qualify or not. Do i win a prize, if they do?
Christian = ignorance, in the anti-christian narrative. So you'll have to define your terms better, or you just parrot the narrative, with ambiguity. Its a great tactic, btw.. plausible deniability through ambiguity! You can use progresso code words to virtue signal to other anti-christian bigots, but pretend you are being tolerant with Orwellian redefinitions and ambiguity! It is definitely one of the strengths of Progressivism.
A further example of you thinking you are superior to all after making up your own terms, demanding that they be true, and going on to BS about others. Once again, I am not an atheist, nor any thing else that your limited mind might come up with. I don't care about religion or this god and I don't care about you or your nonsense. Does that clarify things for you or do you need further instruction?
Where do you come up with the figure of 7B+? Somehow I doubt that you have spoken to all of them to confirm the fact that they are indeed believers and not just saying that they are to avoid confrontation from the militant theists.
Try taking a course in logic or ethics, possibly even in telling the truth. At the very least, come up with your own predictions to try to scare others, not some re-worked imaginary version of a myth.
In all fairness Margot , I did double take before rereading your post to understand you were debasing the article you posted.
There's a whole flurry of this crap in the news today.. claiming revelation is about Russia. I get really sick of these idiots. The Tribulation was over when Masada fell.. and if you believe what Jesus said, they could flee to the mountains to avoid it.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_religious_populations How do you know they are not trying to avoid militant atheists? After all, the militant atheists Stalin and Mao murdered more theists than theists have ever murdered people they opposed in all of history.
I like it, you did a good job of explaining. It's also called identity politics. We tend to place people into groups. If a certain group of voters voted against your candidate, one tends to want to demonize them. Politicians do this all the time. They use a divide and conquer strategy, pitting one group of voters against the other. Hoping by so doing the group that supports you will be fired up and get out to vote for you.
I did and my statement stands. Trying to hijack the thread is all you are doing and not doing a very good job of it.
Is that true, do many politicians do that? In my experience, politicians are quite happy to take votes wherever they come from, and are usually more worried about alienating people. In my experience, it's the hobby thinkers, the fundamentalists, the inexperienced people who have come across a single idea that makes sense to them and stick with it without engaging in other ideas who demonise groups. Politicians sometimes chime into some of those sentiments, but rarely explicitly. Even those politicians who actually dislike specific groups tend to base their thoughts in grand narratives about freedom or constitutionalism rather than actually going through the trouble of demonising someone. But maybe I'm not clued into the same news as you are.
especially when they statutise it! Thats why we need to get the atheists out of government. But Lord USA granted them the right to vote. Yes the last thing we want is a bunch of do gooders like MLK running around spoiling everyone. Yes sometimes there are dissenters and they reject money and wealth and they should be thrown in jail with life sentences so the disease doesnt spread to our children. Oh yeh like the ghosts the gubmint gives them to chase. Well maybe its time to get gubmint out of the school business.
It must be challenging to be as wonderful and perfect (in your own mind) as you try to present yourself. Actually, all you accomplish is to expose how bigoted and intolerant you truly are.
