Since when you ask? Since time Immemorial. Hispanics and Latinos are indeed Caucasian or members of the White race if you're speaking about race. Hispanic and Latino makes reference to Ethnicity, not race as there is no such thing as a Hispanic or Latino "race." Any County or State Clerk that handles birth certificates would readily tell you.

 

And those who say she is White are right! She is. Hispanics and Latinos are members of the White or Caucasian race.

 

latino's are not specfically so- called white or so- called black, they vary from one ethnicity to the other if thats what you mean.

Were you aware that Italians are Latins? They are since they are not Anglos. There are many in the movie and entertainment industry. In fact, they are the true Latins as "The Latins" originated in Italy. But being Latins, where race is concerned, they are also White though many have darker to darkest skin. Have you ever heard of the silent film actor Rudolf Valentino? He was Italian and known as "The Latin Lover." The Italian language is also very closely related to Spanish and many words are virtually the same being that they are both Europeans.

Mexicans are White by race also. If you went into Mexico City and many other states you would see blond, blue-eyed, very fair-skinned Mexicans. There are the Mestizos also with the tanner skin tones and those who are of Native American ancestry but by and large Hispanics and Latinos are White.

 

The US Census calls them "white" for reasons of expediancy, not because they are actually white people.

There are many Lebanese and other Middle Easterners who are clearly NOT white people.

Of course it's not incorrect to group Hispanics with Europeans since being a Spaniard is being a White European, fyi. Therefore, people from Italy, Spain (Iberia), Portugal, France, and Romania are considered White and European and Latin.

That is correct and what my World History professor taught us. He also stressed that many Hispanics were descendants of Germans and that the Celts occupied Iberia (Galicia) for a period of time. The Celts were light-skinned.

That is incorrect. Try to explain that to the many blond, blue-eyed, fair-skinned Hispanic or Latinos both here, in Mexico, South America, and elsewhere and see what they tell you. They are not of a "mixed race." One can plainly tell the difference between one who is White and one who is of Native American extraction or descent.
