I'm new here but this is the second time I've seen you post a thread themed like this. The other was something like, 'why deniers are an attack on intelligent people'. Why do you find free speech so threatening? You seem to feel that the very notion of a belief opposed to yours is a vindictive attack on you personally.

This is obviously my own uninformed armchair BS, but the way you post makes me think that you are responding to some stifling cruelty that makes you want to turn the tables and inflict that cruelty on others. If so, you should know that suffering and being tyrannical aren't the only options available.

You really have a problem with freedom of expression. Pretty hateful of you.

Great logic. They say things I disagree with, therefore, they should be shut down. I really hope there are enough common sense liberals in this country to overcome this stupidity.

Hilarious! Anything liberals disagree with is labelled as "hate". Use your remote control and change the channel if you don't like what they put out.

And those sources of information should be protected by the constitution without government involvement.

It seems clear to me, obama and pals dont like the truth being told.

The fairness doctrine is stupid. It's one of the worst things the left has ever come up with and I'm a bit of a lefty myself.

Maybe you (or someone in the industry) could start a new news channel that adheres to the Fairness Doctrine (or something like it) and presents the opinions of both sides giving measured equal time to each, stripping out all the extremism and focusing objectively on the proven facts of the matters at hand. Maybe call it the TRUTH channel. I'd welcome that. I will not, however, welcome any government intrusion into our free press.

They dont like their lies, cheating, and thieving to be known by the public.

All the liberal media outlets tried to crucify Bush, but he didnt try and eliminate the first Amendment.

I dont agree with it, but I can see some reasoning behind fairness doctrine assuming broadcasting spectrum was limited. But now, when the spectrum is unlimited? It is not a good idea at all.

Not to mention that more and more people get their news through the internet, not TV broadcasts. And I think regulating internet content is completely unacceptable.

If you don't have free speech objections at this point then the concept is completely alien to you and it'll only take a small prod to push you over the edge to complete totalitarianism.

I disagree with Fox on probably most issues - but who cares. They're free to spew as much hate as they want until they throw the first punch.

    You cons obviously do.

I bet there are FAR more threads created by Cons regarding MSNBC then there are from Libs.

MSNBC thanks you for your support BVWC! :roflol:

This thread is completely stupid. Liberals would love to silence any one that has a different opinion than they do. For years they had it their own way. The along came the internet, talk radio and Fox News. Now people can see the lies Liberals, Obama, and the democarts try to make us believe.

    Live with it fools!!!!!

Pro Obama people aren't as extreme as you perceive/claim.

And there are some unrealistic people on all sides (extremists).

I'm not into journalism professionally, but a network that offered EQUAL time to opposing parties, would go a long way, as far as commentary would be concerned.

As far as people gathering 'facts', multiple sources is their best bet.

Where are the actual violations of the 1st Amendment?

And the lies, are they proven to be such?

Is that look anything like the shocked expression on "progressive" faces after the 2010 mid-term elections? As I recall, it looked something like this: :omfg:

Good times, Cap'n. Who could ever forget the prophetic powers of the progs who declared that the GOP was dead and buried after the anointment of the Obamessiah in 2009?
