Why I will be ignoring all "atheists" on this forum.

Here's a friendly advice: Then don't say a thing.

For every thing you say, you put your Christian children in extreme danger from the views of "these atheists".

No, it's a quote from me and I stand by it. I've run into these people on boards. They DEMAND you ADMIT God is a "fairy tale" or a "myth".

It's bullying, and I don't put up with it. I ignore them.

You, however, should probably not target anything if you think a response to it will put someone in extreme danger. Say something and you're likely to get a reaction to it. Say nothing and you can be sure of no reaction.

 

Most Christians/conservatives seem to forget/ignore the fact that due to simple statistics, most liberals are Christian (in the US, at least).

I do not really consider myself a liberal, though I'm sure conservatives would label me as such. I also voted for Obama. Even though I don't like or agree with a lot he has done (and downright hate some of it), I still think he was the best choice. I sincerely believe we would have been much MUCH worse off if any other candidate had been elected (except possibly Ron Paul), and compared to Dubya, he's a saint. The real shame isn't Obama, it's that our political system is so broken that we're all forced into this same scenario every 4 years. Our current party system is infinitely more damaging than any sane president that could be elected (nut-jobs like Palin and Bachman are an exception).

Sorry for going on an off-topic political rant in this thread, I just felt the need to get that off my chest.

so you're saying your first goal is to shut up any christians? In this country, America, Christian AMericans have as much right to speak as you do. I suggest you get used to that seeing as it is part of the constitiution.

ANd if you want Christians to be quiet, why do you all keep starting these topics? Is it because you WANT to target those who believe differently than you? or what?

Christians would not even try to do that. I never have. I don't even bring it up at all.

When the Jehovah Witnesses come to my door about twice a year, I'm always polite to them and say no thank you. I'm nice to them and they seem to appreciate it.

Can you be polite to those who would proselytize and just say no thank you in a civil tone?

As an atheist, I always find it amusing when "believers" put their e-fingers in their ears and refuse to listen to anything that may upset their delicate world views.

 

I would except in my experience you basically have to tell them to (*)(*)(*)(*) off before they get the point.

Not that is some serious irony there.

The country in which I live is overrun with folks that believe their myths to a degree where they wish to regulate the behavior of others based on those myths. Perhaps one day when these pricks that your speak of can live their lives free from the influences of ancient cults they would leave said cultists alone to do what they like.
