The whole point is so that the small population states have a say just like the large population states. The State is our unit of government, not the people.

Bush vs. Kerry wasn't close. Bush had about a 1.5% lead in the popular vote nationwide/

Before the Trump vs. Clinton, if you look at cases where the Electoral college result is different than the popular vote, the difference between the candidates in popular votes has been a statistical tie (i.e. within a percent). In that case, the winner was the one who one most of the states, which makes sense.

 

None. The EC gives a say to the states, per the Great Compromise.

In the Senate, Republicans received over 4 million fewer votes, yet picked up more seats than the party who got more votes.

In the courts, we have 5 justices who have been appointed by presidents who LOST the popular vote, who now hold sway over our countries legal system

We are being ruled by the minority in all 3 branches of government now.

All I see from people on the left is constant complaining. If you don't like the EC do something about it. It has been over two years and not o e single bonafide attempt has been made by the left to start the amendment process. Get off your nut and do something about it if you don't like it. It is the law of the land until someone does something about it.

 

We have, its called the national popular vote compact. Its halfway there. We don't have the numbers to do it the proper way so loop hole time.
