The constitution also doesn't say I have a right to drink water. Do we need to amend it?

Does the constitution guarantee the right to assemble except in the middle of the street?

The Constitution does say that you have the right to life and liberty. Drinking water is one of those liberties that make life possible. The government can't deprive you of that right (drinking water so you don't die) without due process of the law. It's right there in the 5th Amendment.

The Constitution guarantees the right to "peaceably assemble" blocking the street and impeding other citizens of their right to freedom of movement doesn't qualify as "peaceably" assembling.

It says life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Forcing an unwanted child into a home will not be happy for anyone in that household. And Liberty to do what one will with one's own body.

It doesn't? What violence was being done.

Other than the RWNJ running down defenseless women with his truck, I mean.

    Read the 2nd:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

It suggests arms may be kept to facilitate a militia, not to protect yourself while you walk around and not even to protect your home, family and friends. As such, legislators could require you to lock up your firearms such that they could not be accessed in a timely manner for self-defense.

DC tried to do just that and SCOTUS interpreted the 2nd to give you the right to walk around with a weapon.

You must be opposed to a military draft.

No, it says that the people have the right to keep and bear arms, because there is a militia.

Blocking the street is illegal. The Constitution does not address whether it is in a street or not.

    Obviously that law is unconstitutional.

How would you feel about it, if they decided to hold their peaceful demonstration in your living room?

There are obviously some locations in which the peaceful demonstrations cannot be held such as in a public street or in your living room.

Private property isn't covered by the first amendment.

Just in case you have any doubts, the middle of the street is public property

It is public property designed for a specific purpose. That specific purpose does not include demonstrations. When you keep me from driving on it, you are preventing that street from being used for the specific purpose which was constructed and for which I paid taxes.

Anyway, if you want to claim that laws which prevent blocking traffic are not constitutional, take it up with the supreme court. Until that takes place, and the supreme court agrees with you, it is against the law.

DC said you could have your guns, just in a way you can't get to them in time to use them for self-defense. You could certainly get them ready for militia use.

LMAO!! Which space was designed for protesting? Where does the Constitution guarantee unblocked streets?

Only in a time of war and only if troop levels justify it.

It's obviously an unconstitutional law, by the same reasoning used to remove the right to abortion.

Not sure where you are getting your logic. You can have laws that are not specifically addressed in the Constitution. All states have laws on abortion even though it is not mentioned in the Constitution just like all states have laws on roads even though they are not mentioned in the Constitution.

Gun ownership has nothing to do with militia membership.
