    No snow blowers in Tucson!

Too bad you cant have a gun to defend yourself from the coming onslaught of kidnappers, drug cartels, etc. Good luck (you're gonna need it down there...!)

no luck needed in my town... and if I lived in Tucson, I'd have to live near folks like YOU, God forbid! You live in an area MUCH more plagued with drug violence than I do, that's for sure.

Hey... how do you like your new congressman?

I live in a gated community, so no probs.

I voted for the former marine, war hero, Jesse, who is still a 'patriot,' and is not an 'ex-'. He'll be running next election, and maybe enuf of the Independents will forget about Gabby and vote on the issues!

AZ had always been a red state, but Pima County where Tucson is, has become Democrat with all the CA escapees that have moved here...

I guess if you had more than a grade school level understanding of the english language, you'd be able to understand the difference between ex-patriot and expatriate... but at least I know for certain the moronic level of intellect with which I am dealing. I am sure that the trailer park you live in has a gate... good for you... Tucson's a nice town... I had an aunt and uncle that lived there in the 70's... but it will always be a hick town with dumb rednecks as its voting base....

yet another reason why I am pleased with my current residence.

Hey, my rusted out RV has a chain-link gated fence around it and is located in a very nice wash that only floods during the Monsoon. And Tucson is a 'glorified' border town, with 53% Hispanics (half of them are illegals that left the wonderful country that you are now living in!). I would say that it is 'you' who are moronic rather than the uneducated illegals who escaped your dirt road, bandito saturated, corrupted Federales, portion of N. America that we left to the Mexicans cause we didnt want it--shud have given them CA too.. [IMG]

The story is coming out that when Oprah sent word to the woman whom she tho't was a friend that she'd like to help her promote the fight against obesity, Queenie O sent word back that she 'hates fat people and didn't want Oprah waddling around the WH'......... I wondered why Oprah was so quiet about the Obamas.....

That doesn't bother me in the least. He is my CinC... I respect him, and I would follow any lawful order he gave me. There are lots of military jargon that I would never expect a civilian to know how to pronounce. Leadership is not about pronunciation. How petty of you to think otherwise.

your ignorance of the beauty and complexity of Mexican culture is only further proof of your moronic intellect. Enjoy the trailer park... I'll sit here and live like a king on the wonderful retirement that you and the rest of a grateful nation pays me for my years of faithful service on your behalf

Caribou Barbie was in over her head. She would have been better off if she had stuck to pole dancing at truck stops, imo.

And I'd like to thk you for my VA Disability, and the hearty 'Welcome Home' for my svce during the Viet Nam era...'Re-Tired Navel Ocifer....(oops, my moronic intellect misspelled a couple of words, there... [IMG]

BTW, like the several others that I knew who moved down to N. America's rectum, you'll be back within 5-7 yrs...and, at least I 'own' my land here in the U.S., you are just a 'renter' in Mex with their 100 yr lease to non-nationals

so you are a Vietnam vet? Purple Heart, I take it? congratulations for your service over there. Clearly, your exposure to Mexico has been limited to cantinas and whore houses in Nogales... the city I live in has twice as many people as the one you live in. I've spent some time in Tucson... I know what a delightfully tacky stripmall filled city it is. You, on the other hand, have not been here, and we are SOOO glad that you don't want to come here. Expats here have a great reputation for being good neighbors and residents. I'd hate to have you spoil that for us.

and I am really worried about my 100 year lease.... lol.... I really can't imagine being around long enough for that to be a problem, or a problem for any of my children, for that matter. When the time ever comes, my descendants will sell my urban colonial and have fun with the proceeds.

So... bottom line: I really love my life and couldn't imagine living in the city where you live filled with a lot of people who think like YOU do, and you couldn't imagine living where I live. I am so glad you like you "gated community". I love my neighborhood as well.

Notice I said 'served during the Viet Nam era.' I for-went college after HS, joined the military at 17 yo (no draft card) and fought the 'Cold War' under NATO in Europe. The only action I saw was fighting in the bars & gasthaus' of W. Germany..unless you count dating German girls [IMG] Went to college under the GI bill afterwards.

And paco (Pacific Fleet Officer), my guess is that you 'sailed a desk' at places like San Diego, CA and Pearl, HI, where the only fighting you were involved in was with your uniform while putting on your 'Showed Up' and 'Did Nothing' ribbons.

All kidding aside, fellow vet, I may end up joining you if Obama gets a 2nd term---this country is NOT the same country that I grew up in!

OH, BTW, I have 'some' Navy experience myself---worked for the Navy as the Project Engineer on the F/A-18 CPCS. Guess the Navy trusted my moronic intellect, huh?!

I wore the uniform from 1968 to 1993... and never was in Nam or even in the South China Sea during the conflict. While I was in country in Lebanon, however, I did get to see some interesting action as a UN crisis mediator and military observer. Look... I have no beef with you. You don't like the president. I do. Am I pleased with his first term? Certainly not. Am I displeased with his performance to the point where I would vote for the republican? Certainly not. It disturbs me that our country seems to be polarizing to the point where our two different opinions can't even peacefully co-exist anymore. THAT is one of the biggest reasons I moved here... to get away from the acrimony that plagues the US. That, and better healthcare, much better weather, nicer folks, more culture, more civility, less expensive real estate, wonderful restaurants, a world class symphony, and a nice beach a half hour away.

If I decide to move down there near you, are you available to work as a common laborer on my estate?

What's called 'progressive' these days is just the trashing of our heritage and traditionalism using the disingenuous philosophy of 'the ends justifies the means.'
Sorry that you got sucked into that mindset..better you move to Europe where you will feel more at home...Hasta

    Sigh.

The behavior of anti-Obama people towards he and his wife on personal levels(meaning, not related to HIS role as the president) is just abhorrent. It was the same during the Bush years, but back then, it was pro-Bush people(some of whom are now the anti-Obama people) telling anti-Bush people how despicable they were being sometimes, and rightfully so.

So let me get this straight.

It wasn't okay to attack Bush and his family in the manner that some did, but it's okay now to attack Obama....and his wife?

I swear it feels like I've wandered into a high school cafeteria at the snooty people's table when reading posts on this forum sometimes. What a sad sad existence you must have to create threads like this.

Bought my last GM car since now Government Motors..now thought about a Ford Fusion, but they are built in Mex...may have to boy a car that's 85% American made parts & assy, and that's not union made---A Toyota!

Unions in the private sector is their business---I'm ready to give a wake-up call to the Public Unions and bring them back to reality and not fleecing the tax payers with Union-to-Democrat party paybacks & payola.....

Oh, yeah, thx for the final thought.....OD
