Everyone cannot be happy, for there to be happiness there has to be sadness. The true question must be, are you willing to be sad for anothers happiness or are you too selfish? In laymans terms, are you christ like?
I do disagree that in order for some to be happy, others must necessarily be sad. That said, I won't evade your question, even though I am not one to try to promote a religion, or to 'evangelize' anyone in this Forum... so, no, I, myself, am certainly not "christ like", and that is why the Christ of God came in human form among men as Immanuel (Emmanuel, Imanu'el). That is my opinion, only very seldom repeated here, and I hope it answers your question: Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God.... Have a lovely weekend.
There is no ying without yang no light without day no good without evil no happy without sad no rich without poor. Wouldnt it be a better world if we all aspired to be like christ instead of selfish endeavour?
We can, and should, aspire to cultivate better behaviors in ourselves by ourselves, Esau. In my belief system, though, the important thing is that we are saved from our necessarily animalistic, human natures by grace, and by grace alone. Grace provides the evolution of the soul beyond Saṃsāra into a state that is beyond the 'yin and yang' conundrum you accurately observe in our current situation....
Whether its 'man made' or not, climate change is real and is happening now, big time. And it is a factor in world politics, ie arctic ice melt, shrinking water supplies in the Himalayas, increased droughts in Australia etc..
