    What? This can't be!

Certainly the maverick, 1.5 term governor turned firebrand critic from the safety of the glare of her computer monitor can't be forgotten or ignored.

I mean, who would not want her at the convention? Goodness knows she has a plethora of thought to add, deep ideas on policy, the economy, and anything else all blasted under the guise of folksy wisdom.

Indeed, it woudl appear the darling of the tea party just is not welcome at that ball, like a fat girl on prom night. To date, not invited at all.

Oh, but I must tell her. Governor Palin, you have no 1st amendment right to speak at a private event. Sorry, but I guess that was not a topic that needed to be studied up on for the beauty pageant questions.

    Just a bit lighter fare.

Will Mitt Romney invite Mama Grizzly to the dance?

Sarah Palin has not yet received an invitation to speak at or attend the Republican National Convention this August in Tampa, Newsweek reported.

“What can I say?” Palin told Newsweek in an email. “I’m sure I’m not the only one accepting consequences for calling out both sides of the aisle for spending too much money, putting us on the road to bankruptcy, and engaging in crony capitalism.”

“In accepting those consequences,” she added, “one must remember this isn’t Sadie Hawkins and you don’t invite yourself and a date to the Big Dance.”

The magazine said the Romney campaign did not respond to a question about Palin’s role at the convention, but one adviser associated with Team Romney indicated that she may be prohibited from speaking under her contract with FOX News.

Palin appeared dubious, however, about that reasoning.

“It’s true I’m prohibited from doing some things,” Palin told Newsweek, “but this is the first I’ve heard anyone suggest that as an excuse, er, reason to stay away from engaging in the presidential race. I’m quite confident Fox’s top brass would never strip anyone of their First Amendment rights in this regard.”

Palin has not been one of Romney’s boosters. After appearing to favor some of Romney’s more conservative rivals during the Republican primary, she has since only offered him only tepid endorsements.

Last week, Palin said on FOX News that Romney should do more to energize the conservative base, advising him to “light our hair on fire.”

The possible sidelining of Palin is reportedly frustrating Tea Party activists, who have also been slow to accept the former Massachusetts governor as the Republican nominee.

“Romney’s just not a fighter,” Jenny Beth Martin, who heads the Tea Party Patriots, told Newsweek. “That’s why it would be good for him to have someone like Palin speaking at the convention. He needs to do something to rile up his base, to make them enthusiastic.”

The postal service recently reduced some services, that might explain the wait....

Nit picking over details, but shouldn't it be .5, instead of 1.5?

And, if she wants to speak at the convention, then I don't see any reason why she can't, other then the problem with Fox of course. But otherwise, let her speak.

That might explain a lot. Fox News televises the conventions, along with CNN and MSNBC. How often have Anderson Cooper or Rachel Maddow been keynote speakers at these things? O Sarah, 'tis the price one pays for not being a politician anymore!

Why give her a chance to become fodder for the democrats and distract from the point of the convention.

We all know the pure hate that the left has for her and they will viciously attack her the second she shows up.

The people on the left fear Palin since they are stuck with people like Pelosi and Wasserman.

If so I'd like to see the film, I'm seriously curious about the proper why to skin and gut a caribou...

I have feeling if OWS shows up, the cops won't be shackled with bean bag rounds and such, more like buckshot and the problem will solve itself...

Link or any tiny bit of evidence that the shooter had ANY ties with Palin.

Oh what is that you say? You have ZERO proof and you were just forwarded a lie that has been debunked dozens and dozens of times? So you are just lying knowingly because that is what Liberals do?

    Your post is utterly pathetic.

According to a convention spokesman, convention planning is stilll underway and no decisions on speakers have been made at this time and those details will be announced closer to the event. Palin will get an invite eventually and it would be a grave mistake for Romney to alienate her base.

Why would anyone want to align themselves with a proven idiot? Actually this goes for both Romney and Palin.

Libs must feel really threatened by Palin to have such abiding hatred for her.

What did she ever do to you?

Giving her a platform to remind voters what a goofy demagogue she really is would be a fatal mistake for Romney.
Maybe they can also get Bush jr to speak.;)

It's what her stupidity might do to America is what you should be concerned about. She is a proven dunce; ignorant of foreign policy, domestic policy, economics and pretty much anything else she has attempted to answer 'trick' questions about. And conservatives looked on her as some sort of saviour?

perfect example of how the right cannot win. If she went, TfM would be posting a topic about how extreme the right is by inviting her. If she doesn't get an invite, TfM will be posting a topic on how the right has abandoned her. Truth is, TfM hates the right so much that no matter what they do, he can't contain himself when it comes to finding fault....with anyone but the left which is REALLY at fault.

Here's how the right can win; present us with a credible politician would be a good start. Palin is anything but.

Weren't you another of the libs telling us that Ronald Reagan was stupid?

That's a favorite smear tactic that liberals use against Republicans they are afraid of.

    Palin is quite smart.

She certainly has more native intelligence than Obama does.

Newt Gingrich was fairly intelligent. Palin was just a bunch of talking points, nothing else.

He's not for you. You wouldn't vote right if your life and eternal soul depended on it.

And you have no right to call anyone NOT credible after the corrupt sob and his cronies you put into office this last go round.

I think her transition from governor to vice presidential candidate was pretty abrupt.

She obviously had not spent a lot of time studying national issues and it showed during the campaign.

But because she was not so programed she had a more genuine quality about her that appeals to many voters.

We are so tired of politicians like Romney who will say one thing to get elected and then do something else.

Obama is a far left kook but he does at least represent a point of view for liberals to relate to.

Palin gives us the alternative and I think she could have beaten Obama.

Maybe Romney can too but he is not a true conservative whereas Palin is.
