And yet here is a thread praising the 2008 Republican nominee for vice president, certainly a shining example of the Republican establishment.

Ironic, isn't it? Folks champion the person whom represents what they claim to be against.

    That is amazing.

What is one slightly detailed policy proposal Palin has ever put forth?

I am sadly not shocked that so many think someone who really says nothing is so smart.

SMW will probably respond to your post but I'm not so sure, in light of some of the other topics I've been pursuing at PF lately, that smart is all it's cranked up to be. Plus, it's almost impossible to really tell in what way someone is "smart". High IQ can produce some real crazy nonsense at times, just as stupid does as the norm. I know it's easy to recognize stupid - but smart comes in some very unusual and surprisingly productive packages. Burridans logical ass (donkey) was perfectly smart in the logical sense, yet died of starvation between two equal piles of hay because it couldn't find a reason to prefer to eat from one pile as opposed to the other. Hence, "ass". [No donkey dies here, LOL - it's just a metaphor]. But surely I ramble . . .

Well, you are free to champion the unintelligent and low IQ. I certainly think we have plenty of those sort of politicians and pundits already.

I have really been puzzling over that one the past few years myself!

Actually bro, if ya think about it a little, we are inundated with SMART people. Smart people created mega-instruments of hidden risk (CDOs, etc), masking what other smart people had designed for some really quick profits (subprime mortgage market, etc) to the tune of trillions of dollars and brought about the 2008 meltdown. A Harvard Business grad with an MBA led us into two wars, one of which was centered on the infamous and and totally missing WMD. Then declared victory when the "fun" was just starting. Another grad with a double degree from Harvard said the following:

"I like being able to fire people who provide services to me."

    And,

"Corporations are people, my friend… of course they are. Everything corporations earn ultimately goes to the people. Where do you think it goes? Whose pockets? Whose pockets? People's pockets. Human beings, my friend."

And the ever nutty (strange even):

"I believe in an America where millions of Americans believe in an America - that’s the America millions of Americans believe in. That’s the America I love."

I LOVE that last one!

    And how about,

    Etc, etc, etc....

These kinds of "smart" people will be the death of us all.

Palin evolved from running for office to supporting others who are running for office. Her 'policy proposals' are no longer relevant... her mission is to put more conservatives in DC. Don't have been a Mensa member to figure that out, huh?

Of course not, as she has none. That would require thought and the ability to articulate. What she has are mindless soundbites the simple folks of the country lap up.

She has never put forth anything other than stupid platitudes. Nothing. Not a single in depth idea that would remotely suggest that the 1.5 term quitter and reality tv star has the slightest (*)(*)(*)(*)ing clue how the country works.

She can do far more on the outside that on a ticket. She can say what she feels. It is a long long way from 2008 and it has been a good trip for here.

Who was it that told us Obama was smart?

Sarah Palin is a good deal smarter than Obama and Biden combined.

    Excellent leftist observation, TFM!

I trust you'll echo this opinion of all the slobbering lib sycophants who are going to be influenced by Bill Clinton schilling for Obama?

Yeah. Thanks for sticking your snoot in some other thread instead of coming up with a substantial answer to this retort.

I know your sexual orientation is important to you TFM, but please: it is not important to us. Keep details such as this to yourself.

I am sorry, but I am responding to the topic in the OP and have absolutely zero interest in your comparative tangent.

Okay. Did you want to actually respond to something I air or attempt, lamely, to get some sort of dig in?

Okay. I do not believe I shared it with you nor do I believe I was speaking of anyone's sexuality. i think you saw an opportunity to make a very juvenile post in an attempt to score some cheap points with some crowd here.

Now, would you like to take me to task on something I said or not? I am getting the impression from your pots that it is more important to make snotty remarks rather than attempt to defend your position or attack mine from alogical viewpoint.

You attempted to ridicule voters of a candidate simply because Palin has endorsed them. I countered in a manner that highlights your hypocrisy, and you graciously gave the gift of confirmation.

Regarding your ass and what it does, you mentioned it - and shouldn't have.

Not quite right now, are you?

You see, I am not a partisan hack, the sort that mindlessly follows what Palin or any other pundit says. I don't suffer fools in any party.

And you are again utterly incorrect. Another poster brought up my ass, and you have now mentioned it twice. Your post is a raging bit of hypocrisy.

Would you care to attempt again to get some sort of snotty remark in or simply respond to the topic at hand?

Pretty much exactly correct. What is an endorsement but a collection of reasons that one believes you should vote for a candidate? Why weasel out of your words? Own them.

ROFLMAO. I have not seen you miss an opportunity to ridicule a conservative when a thread presents the opportunity. Please can the false bravado.

This is your post. What was disgusting is your need to share such vile details - and you agreed with the poster who asked if you made it up by using the word 'ass' in a figure of speech. You literalized it, so - again - own your words, and what they mean, instead of attempting to hide from them in cowardly fashion. Own your words; defend your nature - or retract them.

Do me a favor. If you are going to insult me, at least make it good.

I realize the sum of your argument is to imply that I am gay. Heard it a million times before. Been called a coward plenty of times before too.

However, what you have not done in this thread is actually provide a shred of evidence anything I have said is incorrect.

Fact is... Palin endorsed long-shots who are winning elections. Libs can spin it whatever way makes them feel better. Doesn't change the facts.

Your MO is well known here. You want people to insult you - and I'm making you unhappy that what I'm responding with isn't rising to the level of a personal attack, so whining to moderators isn't doing you any good.

Facts remain here. You ridiculed people who vote for a candidate because Palin endorsed them, but have said nothing at all about those people who are compelled to vote for Obama because Clinton said so.

And it's delicious to have to watch Obama grovel to Clinton on behalf of the Dem party to get him to hump for Obama!

I wasn't implying anything. I was under the impression that you are gay - because you've said you're gay.

You've said one stupid thing in this thread, and I responded by pointing out your double standard. If you're going to deride a group of people for being influenced by endorsements, then you have no choice but to deride them all.

Own it, as I'm owning you in this debate.

She has no appeal outside of the TP and, maybe, Alaska.

This isn't even debateable. Google her ratings.

Google the election results of candidates she's endorsed. They're winning. Scary, huh?
