It was a show of force. One Israel had to take seriously. Perhaps due to hindsight it may have been more clear, but not when they knocking at the door. I agree with Rabin. Those two divisions alone wouldn't have been enough. It suggests they had been coordinating their attacks witht he other Arab nations poised to strike. It's awful funny how quickly the others came to the aid. That smacks of having been ready to launch an offensive.

Nope.. the diary is very specific and details the endless provocations they tried to start a war.. They wanted the West Bank, the aquifers, the Jordan river, a piece of Lebanon and the Golan Heights.. Water and fertile soil.

 

It is very clear what is happening... as soon as it was cut-in-stone that Obama had been re-elected, Israel started preparing for war with Iran. Before engaging hostilities with Ahmadinejad, the Israelis know they need to neutralize the huge Islamo-nazi rat-herd in Gaza. They've got enough to worry about with the possibility that Egypt could come swarming at them from the west, and Gaza sits like a dagger pointed right at the Israeli heart.

They'll put Gaza in what amounts to a lock-down, and then they'll go after Iran. Obama will probably try to get everyone to go down to the UN and sing "Kumbaya", but Netanyahu won't trust Obama as far as he can spit, if he's smart... and Netanyahu is very smart....

Nice post and all true, pity some of the Israeli supporters on here know nothing about anything. If they bothered to actually read the documented history then they would be in a position to make a real factual argument but as it happens they are mostly ignorant and rely on fairy tales.
