Geez, if it couldn't get any worse for the Republicans. New memos came out today that the IRS probe found lists that contain.

Well they apologize or just come up with even more conspiracy theories?

McConnell has already thrown in the towel on this one. But he's working hard on the next scandal so he can get it out in time for the Friday afternoon newsies. I hear the next one is about Obama signing bills with his left-handed ink pen. We know that ain't constitutional.

You thread title is a lie. It was one group on Page 6 Line 16 of the spread sheet.

What you failed to mention is that on Page 9 Line 3, we have an coordinated attack on the TEA Party through Liz Hofarce. It also states that these TEA Party cases (<---- plural) are being coordinated with the EOT. <--- Extension of Time and thus purposely delayed which is not the case with the Progressive Group.

Note: Liz Hofarce upon interviewed confirmed that the extra scrutiny specifically targeted against TEA Party groups had Washington D.C. completely involved.

All this memo proves is that there was a single "Progressive" group and that the TEA Party groups were receiving a "coordinated" attack and a purposeful extension of time to delay them indefinitely. Thanks for proving the IRS was putting TEA Party groups through extra pain which they already admitted, apologized for, and confirmed through the White House.

    Thread Fail!

Anyone with a bit of brains and some common sense understands correlation between more time passed and "new" evidence being fabricated, or "remembered". Give it a few more months, and it"ll become obvious no conservatives were targeted at all but only Liberals, and its all started under Bush anyway. You Liberals are a joke.

Ahhh yes, let's ignore every piece of evidence we don't like. That's the conservative way!

They found one use of "progressive" in a heavily redacted BOLO report and somehow "progressives" were targeted. Did you read the BOLO?

    Transaction Name: Progressive
    Issue 1: Political activities
Issue 2: Common thread is the word "progressive". Activities appear to lean toward a new political party. Activities are partisan and appear as anti-Republican. You see references to "blue" as being "progressive".
Name(s) of Organization(s): Applicants submit form 1023.Their "progressive" activities appear to show that (c) (3) may not be appropriate.

1023 is simply the form used for filing for tax exemption.

They weren't targeted for being "progressive". It seems they were being targeted because they should be filing under 501 (c) (4) instead of (c) (3).

I thought so... all you have is troll when I went through the entire Spead Sheet and exposed the thread title as a lie and the content of the O.P. as a lie.

    Thread Success.

Democrats on the House Ways and Means Committee released one of the lists, dated November 2010, that the IRS has provided to congressional investigators. That 16-page document, with many parts blacked out, shows that the terms "Progressive" and "Tea Party" were both on that list, as well as "Medical Marijuana," ''occupied territory advocacy" and "Healthcare legislation."

Apparently the IRS was just doing their job and picking apart anything that dealt with politics. Sucks to be you today.

What lie, it's all over the news that the new lists that came out contained many progressive names. I'm sorry you are having a bad day, but there is no reason to take it out on the messenger.

Yeah, that must be the reason they apologized for targeting TEA Party groups.

All it proves is that liberal groups were screened, not "targeted". And when will the IRS being issuing an apology for this behavior? Is Obama outraged over this, too?

This "list" is just groups that were subjected to screening by the IRS. It doesn't say if they were "targeted" like the tea party. You are just spewing more propaganda for Obama and the DNC. Give it a break already.

Rep. Sander Levin of Michigan, top Democrat on the Ways and Means panel, said he was writing a letter to J. Russell George, the Treasury Department inspector general whose audit in May detailed IRS targeting of conservatives, asking why his report did not mention other groups that were targeted.

"The audit served as the basis and impetus for a wide range of congressional investigations and this new information shows that the foundation of those investigations is flawed in a fundamental way," Levin said.

The original thought process was that the list only contained conservative groups which is why they apologized for not being fair.

Regardless, both the independent review and the new information with lists prove that there wasn't a political bias in the groups that were selected for more scrutiny. Tough to be anti-Government these days. Losing every battle!

To remove the taint of political profiling and vote suppression for political gain there needs to be about 3 or 4 DOZEN clearly leftist 501Cs that were delayed on the order of two years in gaining status. Some probing questions about the books they read and the prayers they promised they wouldn't say will also be needed.

No chance they have that. Exculpatory evidence surfaces immediately. Concocted BS spin takes a lot longer to 'mainstream'.
