That bleat speaks volumes to the priorities of that dingbat and her party. Jobs and the economy are things Democraps pivot to when they're not busy fundamentally transforming the United States of America... FORWARD, "progressives"!!
Just you wait lib'ruls.... until that brilliant and wonderful Republican "alternative to Obamacare" plan comes out!!!!
When someone half-smart tries to lie about a mathematical goal they attained, they will give a number that not equals, but very slightly surpasses the goal, so as to be believable. 7.1 million fits that role in this case. If I would have guessed ahead of time how many he'd have, I would have guessed 7.1 million, I think. I doubt that it's true. And I think that their numbers are so made up and manipulated it should make America think of puking.
I agree - you and your Dear Leader should unleash your inner Stalinists more often. Where's a Gulag when you people need one? .
I have not a clue what you are talking about at this point. My thoughts on the thread topic are available in my initial post in this thread.
I could have sworn that the objective of the Affordable Care Act was to make health care affordable and to reduce the number of insured Americans... Well, I suppose it is nice to have a meaningless side objective.
He didn't put it so rudely, and this is a victory for America. There's really no point for a small group of angry people from the far right to keep trying to get it repealed. There are plenty more, bigger issues for them to be concerned about.
But those thoughts are completely reasonable given the lack of information on the subject, hence the flames. I am sure that once people have more time to digest this and more credible numbers emerge Pres and Co will get there just deserves. For now there isn't enough info for me to say.
I ran my stats through the obamaputer. Used Delaware because it was the first I stumbled upon to use the fed site. Run a guy 52 then run one 30. You'll find us old folk aren't getting nothing free. I guess I'm one of the 7 million clicks though. Already insured so I'm just traffic passing thru.
Yes, we all know how concerned the Left is about getting out the details of their "alternative" plans. Be sure you hold those Republicans to a different standard, progs! Maybe no one will notice...
Let me explain, your moniker is 'Think for Myself'. I heartily approve. But thought isn't something that is derived from a complete vacuum. Thought is the product of facts and data which are coalesced into a cogent and coherent narrative. In your opening post, you said that you believed ACA detractors are angry and that you felt Obamacare is showing a little success. I am okay with all of that. You are entitled to your opinion and this place would be so dull and dreary without a dissenting side. I am merely trying to find out which facts your opinion is based upon. You see, I disagree with your opinion. I am giving you the opportunity to persuade me, or maybe even to persuade yourself, about the validity of your opinion. Opinions are based on facts. Which facts do you have that signals Obamacare is anything but a dismal failure? Is it the President's or his political operative's word? I hope not, that may be the most dubious source imaginable. Perhaps you trust the President's word. Okay, then just admit it. Perhaps I am missing a body of data that makes your case. If so, enlighten me.
There's no need for Australians to tell Americans failure is success and what issues we should be concerned about. Our progs are quite capable of bleating your propaganda and gratuitous psychobabble on their own.
You are 100% correct about that. Our President is extremely skilled at saying incredibly rude and offensive things in a most pleasant manner. It is his greatest accomplishment.
Of course it is going to happen. Like the Jim Crow laws before it, the ACA is unconstitutional. It was unconstitutional right from the very beginning, when it was initiated in the Senate instead of the House, before the SCOTUS ruled that the ACA was a tax. Taxes are required to initiate in the House not the Senate, according to the U.S. Constitution. I mention the Jim Crow laws for this reason alone: just because it is a law, doesn't mean that it is constitutional. O'Bama seems to be conveniently forgetting that the ACA is currently right in front of the SCOTUS who are determining its constitutionality and whether or not it is violating Hobby Lobby's 1st Amendment rights, which it clearly is. It has to start somewhere, and it looks like repeal will come in the form of Hobby Lobby Inc., because corporations are people, according to the 2010 SCOTUS.
But they are not paying their own way. The way the subsidies are provided the majority of households will get subsidized. The fact that people are willing to put their own healthcare into the hands of our government to control amazes me.
Okay. What are the alternatives? Going on the public dole for medical care? Having substandard insurance that will not cover jack? Why? Folks have been doing it for decades. Medicare and such.
How can destroying the private health system that 280 million Americans had so that Der Fuhrer can give free healthcare to 30 million deadbeats ever be a success? Only in lib la la land.
I don't knwo what you are going on about, but those scenarios sound completely fictional. If you would like to take me to task on something I said, please do so. If you would wild to create a fantasy world where the above happens, well, I must ask that I not go on a journey with you to that land.
At least you admit they are not paying their own way, thank you. As far as the solution, well I am sure that varies with each situation. In some cases sadly, there may not be a solution. And yes, Medicare. True story. A relative of mine was self insured. Yes paid for her care out of her own pocket. She had two knee replacements, shoulder surgery and a bovine heart valve installed. She hit 65 and into Medicare. A year later it was time to replace the heart valve. She had to wait as she got weaker, then was declared to weak for surgery and put into a rehab program to which she never recovered due to the failing valve. She died. To this day, I believe had she been paying for that surgery herself, she would be here today. Medicare took the care of herself out of her hands and put it in the governments.
Well, some are not. Some never will. We will always have a segment of this society that can not, for whatever reason, pull their own weight. Yeah, not buying it. Sorry. Great story and all, but I don't see how a failed heart valve is the fault of the government.
The destruction is going on as we speak. Claiming 7 million fictional enrollees for ObamaCare is not a success by any rational standard.
