There really is no possibility of the GOP becoming more racially diverse...

not for a generation, I'd say.

We see it every day here on PF. Blatant racism from the Right. Insulting and disparaging remarks about African-Americans and Latinos (even those who are citizens).

Oh sure they bring out Alan Keyes or Herman Cain or (next time) Ben Carson and let them PRETEND they have a real shot at the GOP Presidential Nomination....and lots of rightwingers CLAIM they "love and support them".....

but once in the privacy of the voting booth....they vote for a white guy, any white guy over a Keyes, Cain, or Carson.

And despite the hopes of the RNC and Reince Priebus.....blog postings, calls into RIghtwing Radio, or even more obvious things like columns from Ann Coulter or some race-baiting rightwing pundit....are put on public display for blacks and Latinos to see for themselves.

And the truth is, most of the rightwing racists (and no, not ALL rightwingers are racists)...don't WANT the GOP to be more diverse racially and would fight against it.

So eventually, the GOP will implode demographically. Not just from being almost 100% white....but also predominantly male...and more importantly, demographically OLD. For it is key to note that most of the racists are old. Sure you have a few "youngsters" brought up on Thomas Chittum and the white separatism of the 1980s....

but most are the old Wallace voters that Nixon and Reagan pandered to with their "Southern Strategy"....Dixiecrats who became Republicans when the GOP shed its Lincoln-Eisenhower support for civil rights....and became the Party of Strom Thurmond, Trent Lott, and Jesse Helms.

And until those folks die off from natural causes....the GOP is stuck....or even sinking in racial quicksand that was once its "foundation".

With little chance to reverse it....it's likely the 2016 Republican Nominee will look back on Mitt Romney's 27% Latino support as a "landslide" compared to what they will get after they are done pandering to the "Kick 'em all out to save white culture" types in the Primaries.

BTW, you want the quickest proof of my premise?....ask a rightwinger to explain why IN HIS VIEW blacks don't vote Republican.....and watch as his "explanation".....is insulting to blacks.

There is a reason the right wing is so racist and the left wing is so anti-racist, that reason is Capitalism. The right wing uses racism as a tool for the rich to divide and conquer all the classes below them, and it works very well. Look at all the Civil Rights movements for black people, Communists/Socialists are everywhere usually leading the front lines. In South Africa it was the Capitalist Americans and British who defended the racist south African government, and it was the Communists who fought for racial equality against the Capitalists. Time and time again, all throughout history, Capitalists have been on the side of racial oppression and the Communists have been on the opposite side fighting back.

Typical liberal blather from a liberal that thinks they know what people believe based on their own prejudices.

I'll have to be certain to tell some of my brown-skin-toned Latino neighbors who proudly self-identify as conservative members of the G.O.P. that they must be, in fact, bigoted and racist White-Hispanics. I'll also be certain to tell them that I got it from some good leftwingers who know it for a fact. They are almost bound to find that to be . . . interesting.

But yet, interestingly enough, it is proven on a daily basis here.....

Do the posts that prove it need to be shown again?

It's obvious who the racists are.

Clue: It's those who continually start threads about racism.

I suppose you categorize all blacks on the basis of a few too eh? Same bigotry.

Another interesting characteristic of conservatives....obsession with blacks in a negative light.

I see people on both sides being racist, sexist, and divisive. Not sure why anyone would think it's mainly republican or democrat.

When I see comments like yours, I've wondered if the poster even knows what "Capitalism" means. In short it's an economic system, where private ownership is the rule. That is from the little store on the corner owned by a person/family to the largest corporations where millions of people via stock are part of it. In the US it extends to personal rights, where any person can own or buy into and privately owned business and/or advance within any business. Then what your actually asking for is Socialism or where Government(s) via take over or regulation controls the PEOPLES rights to that ownership.

Mankind from the time they learned to reason has bartered for goods/things they want, which has grown into a world that can supports 7+ billion of these people, including at least the 320 million that live in the Country that first offered this system, to a world that has benefited for two centuries and counting. Yes, maybe in the past while the world society has tried to outlaw racism, some people were not allowed to advance, but for many decades now, that has been discouraged, by the very people your condemning, that local grocer to the biggest corporation WANTING to do business with all races.

I guess it's because when asked to provide proof of "liberal" racism here, you get nothing but crickets.....

ie. can you show an example of something like this being said from "liberals" here?

I mean, since so many say they see "people on both sides being racist, sexist, and divisive"

The new talking point from the Right...."Saying that racism exists...is racist. Unless you're talking about racism towards us oppressed white people."

You know 99% of these "actors" would not have any friends if they spoke in real life like they do here. That is of course unless their friends are the stormfront crowd.

Oh, I don't think the Republican Leadership can even stop it. They've tried...especially after reading that "Autopsy Report" they commissioned after 2012. Their attempts at "outreach" quickly imploded ...with women, blacks, Latinos. Groups the GOP would vitally need to win SOME support with to remain a national party, rather than a gerrymandered regional one.

Their pandering to the Social Cons and "pro-lifers" ruins them with women. The LOUD calls and obvious racism of much of the opponents (not all) of immigration reform kills them with Latinos, who see a GOP full of people who don't "just" dislike undocumented Latinos....but all Latinos.

And naturally, the Right's "Let me tell you what's wrong with blacks" posts and columns (especially given Ferguson) keeps their abyssmally small black vote still small....despite their stunts like having guys like Alan Keyes, Herman Cain, or (in 2016) Ben Carson "run" for their Presidential Nomination ....naturally, with no hope at all of winning it.

BTW, I realize you meant that post for the other side...but accidentally, it actually applies to the Right.

They think mentioning stormfront is open dialogue.

And they wonder why we laugh at them.

I'm open for dialogue, longknife. First, tell me...in your opinion.....why most African-Americans don't vote Republican.

    - - - Updated - - -

"Oddly" Dale, when a Stormfronter or other white supremacist posts here at PF.....the number of conservative posters condemning them or even disagreeing with them....

    is typically zero.

Same question to you, Toefoot, to start a dialogue...

tell me, in your opinion, why most African-Americans don't want to vote Republican?

    - - - Updated - - -

How is asking a conservative his opinion of why African-Americans don't want to vote Republican...."flame-bait"???
