Everyone comes from africa, homo neanderthals and homo sapiens had a common ancestor , most likely homo heidelbergensis, also from africa...where you are born has nothing to do with where you originate, using that reasoning an american born child with irish born parents have two different origins, europe and n america...a thousand yrs from now that childs decendants will still not have originated in n america, but africa ...

neanderthals, denisovans and sapiens are from the same family that were separated and then came back together, all originated in africa they just left at different times...and the same applies to homo erectus who also originated in africa... and despite what some claim there is no evidence supporting interbreeding with erectus...

    Quelle racist !
    Does she know?

Seriously, wyly, as I understand your uploads, you resist any association of "features" with a certain population of people from here or there, such as Asian Flush Syndrome & Asiatics.
Moi maintains this is anti Science P.C.

If medicine were wiser to it, we could deliver better, more tailored health care.
Remember that recent Black Blood Pressure pill of a few years ago. A combination of 2 standard medicines in one pill, as I remember that have a more therapeutic effect of persons displaying the Sub Saharan  genome than those who don't have that genome.
It hit P.C. resistance although safe/effective and maybe a choice of BP medicine to initiate on a hypertensive Black person among a plethora of various drugs that work by different mechanisms. Of course Moi would always monitor and tailor to the patients uniqueness too.

You resist the verified genetic evidence calling it PC because it doesnt support your racist based opinion...very convenient right? You encounter definitive scientific evidence that overturns your personal subjective hypothesis and that the countering emperical evidence must PC!...don't bother considering you may be wrong that's impossible, it's obviously PC science...

Blood types vary within a single family! Why aren't you claiming distinct races within such a family?...the chances of a perfect bone marrow transplants between siblings are 1 in 4, so you're claiming because they're genetically different they must be separate races right?...oh right I forgot you can't because PC science won't permit calling siblings races

I quoted a peer reviewed journal. You stated something as fact. I might agree that all life came out of africa, therefore we all came from there, but the human species itself developed as a result of sub spices who's origin came from species who developed outside africa. Homo erectus can be found in the human genome, so saying it isn't there is going to require more scientific evidence than your statement to convince me. Finally, I don't really care about this topic. Alpha said "case closed" as if debate about the topic were beneath him. That's why I argued with him about this. He's was being pushy.

Depending on how far back in time we decide to go....we could state that All Humans came from a tide pool in a chunk of land that no longer exists and has no name. The common ancestor of advanced simian life forms was undoubtedly to be found in Africa based on fossil evidence and biological study.

Other than that we simply do not "Know"....we guess.

About 1.5 million years of evolution separation between erectus and sapiens arrival in east asia as well as an average brain size difference of 450cc...that's an enormous developmental disparity to overcome...Neanderthal and Denisovan were at least very similar in brain volume to sapiens and much closer in evolutionary development time and even then the dna evidence suggests sapiens were only just able to interbreed with those cousins.. get back to us when you have some homo erectus dna to present...

This is just adding to your post.

It is interesting to note that in all Animal Life on Planet Earth and this includes all various forms of Humanity going back over 5 Million years.....at first Evolution dictated that the larger the animal brain in ratio to the mass of the animal body....the greater the level of intelligence of the animal.

As example a CROW which has a very large brain in comparison to the mass of it's body is HIGHLY INTELLIGENT IN THE EXTREME.....where as there exists many mammals that have brains many times the mass of the Crows but because the ratio of those mammals brains to their body mass is much lower compared to the ratio of a brain to the Crows body mass...the Crow is much more intelligent than such mammals even if it's Brain has a much smaller mass.

In HUMANS....as Humanity Evolved over Millions of Years....our Brain mass increased.....to a POINT.

What Evolution then had in store for Humanity is very much like the same thing that happened in developing Computer Technology.

Years ago in order to have greater and faster computational power....you needed massive amounts of computers and entire BUILDINGS of 1960's era computers were needed to do 1/100th the computaional and data storage capability of todays SMART PHONE.

Same thing happened to Humanity as Neanderthal had a larger brain than Modern Man....but unlike Neanderthal our Brains even being smaller are much more complex and have much greater computational and data storage capability.

"The largest brain sizes of H. erectus fall within the range of modern humans, although the H. erectus brain is configured somewhat differently than our own."

So who is that guy anyways ?

Someones whose brain volume increased some 1000cc plus over the definition of its' species.
"The largest brain sizes of H. erectus fall within the range of modern humans, . ."

    wyly oh wyly,
wyly do you forsake erectus ?

It is obvious H. erectus contributed to the genome of modern EurAsians.
Erectus is the best, the very best contender for that "archaic man" genome in the Denisovans and
modern Himalayan genome attributing their high altitude tolerance coming from such an ancient population .
Both claimed to process a yet unidentified ancient peoplekind genome mix.

Would recognition of H. erectus just lead us on to
    <dare I say> RACISM ?

    I just posted about this.

It is no longer about brain size or mass anymore as it is now about Human Brain COMPLEXITY.

I used to have an old 486 Computer that weighed a TON and was huge.

Now I have a Smart Phone that is Ultra Thin and tiny as far as it's Mass that is a Billion or more Times more powerful.

Don't you see that the point isn't who is right or wrong in this debate? The point is that there is debate. You initially stated yourself as correct and therefore no one should even debate you. I may not have proven your point wrong about human origins, but that was never my intention. My point was to point out that you were wrong to try and say there is no debate, as if YOU are the gatekeeper of all knowledge. That is unscientific. A science lover would welcome debate.

At a certain point an EXISTING REALITY can no longer be debated.

    It can be EXPANDED UPON.

    It can be UTILIZED.

It can be used in PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS.

But unless some EVIDENCE OR PROOF can be brought to discredit it and the whole POINT of calling it an UNDEBATABLE REALITY....is that it has been PROVEN BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT....it can no longer be debated.

    AS EXAMPLE.

If one adds up the TOTAL NUMBER OF DEGREES....within all 3 interior angles OF ANY TRIANGLE....no matter what size the triagle and no matter what infinite in number different ratio's of length each side of a triangle has to another side.....the answer WILL ALWAYS BE 180 DEGREES.

Now....this is NOT UP FOR DEBATE.

The FACT that all existing Humanity has DNA in their Genome indicating that all existing Humanity has Ancestors originating from Africa.......IS THE SAME THING....it is NOT up for debate.

Declaring your position above debate, on anything, is closed minded. In fact, that might be very close to its definition. It really doesn't matter how correct you are.

I will tell you what...and I have made this offer to you before......SHOW ME THE DNA MARKERS OF ANY SINGLE ONE PERSON ON PLANET EARTH THAT DOES NOT SHOW AFRICAN ANCESTROSHIP....and I will be GLAD to state I was wrong and you were right.

Unfortunately for you....there does not exist one single person on Earth that does not have African Origins.

Oh...and just to let you know....as in the U.S. we now have National Healthcare....the DNA from Blood Samples from Millions upon Millions of U.S. Citizens in the National Healthcare Data Base....all show AFRICAN ANCESTORSHIP.

Same thing for an European National Healthcare DNA data.

Funny that someone so into curved spacetime would use that as an example, as it is only "settled fact" in Euclidian geometry. And this supposedly "settled fact" would indeed be challenged by the emergence of both elliptical and Riemannian geometry. So it was only settled fact...until it wasn't. I think that is Ozy's point. You can never rule out that something new will hit you out of left field, no matter how unlikely it may seem at the time.

Yes there is correlation between body mass and brain size...
However neanderthals like sapiens came in a wide range of body types, some were robust and some were like sapiens, body size is also developmental, hard physical lifestyle affects bone size...neanderthal were similar in both body and brain size to sapiens...it's presumptious to claim we are more intelligent, neanderthals can be credited with the first complex industrialized process long before sapiens managed the feat...

Homo erectus also had a body size similar to sapiens but a brain approximately 70% of homo sapiens, lacking much of the temporal and frontal areas of sapien brain...

Are you saying then that nothing exists unless it's within the comprehension of your own mind? Isn't that a very negative attitude and very limiting, since acceptance of that which we do not know has to be the basis of all knowledge. I mean can you imagine a kid going to school and not accepting anything taught him?

Anyway that's how I see it. I personally found that once I accept something as existing, then my experiences change accordingly. That which I would never have known before, becomes known to me. This is why in Christianity faith comes first.

As for the teacher, if she had been a theologian she might have been able to explain Noah's ark, but you wouldn't have been capable of understanding it so what difference would it have made to you anyway? You were expected to accept it on faith and with the faith would have come the comprehension...eventually.

Neanderthals were heavy with bone mass but as far as total body mass...because Modern Human's are much taller in comparison to Neanderthal....I believe we have on average a larger body mass.

Certain obvious traits or lack of are evident between Neanderthals and what was known as Cromagnon...and Cromagnon is considered a Modern Human and very little difference exists between Cromagnons and Homosapiens.

But Neanderthal simply did not have the intelligence to develop certain tools such as the Bow and Arrow....Spear Throwers...etc....and Cromagnon could devise intricate animal traps...something Neanderthal never could.

OK....please explain Noah's Ark to ME....in a manner that would not read like a FAIRY TALE.

If there was even the smallest possibility that an Ark....could hold a male and female of all the animals of Earth....and the story neglects to talk about PLANT LIFE....nor does it discuss tiny microbial life nor does it discuss exactly where all the water came from or where it went to.

Noah's Ark is a NICE STORY....created for the TEACHING OF MORALITY....but that is all it is...A STORY.

It has no basis in fact.

    Uhhh...yeah...that is the point!

Modern Humans interior skull displacement areas are smaller than Neanderthals.

Now as most peoples DNA shows...especially people of European decent....they have Neaderthal DNA within their Genomes and thus this shows us that Neanderthals were Human and had the same use of their skull cavities as we did.

It is not possible for people of today to have Neanderthal DNA and not have some area within their skull being used for something else other than a brain as if Neanderthals had part of this cavity being used for some other purpose it would be OBVIOUSLY APPARANT in anyone today who has Neandethal DNA.

Modern sapiens today are considerably taller than we were 50yrs ago, thats a result of improved early life nutrition....neanderthal males have an average height of 5'6.5", females 5'3".....height of the average 15th century englishman 5'5.75"....so they're the same height and heavier...

Neanderthals hunting methods never required bow and arrows and they were successful without it...there is no evidence neanderthals could not develop traps, none...contrary to common thought their toolkit was very advanced...

Neanderthals were intelligent they developed a glue to fix their spear points to a shaft....
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/evolution/defy-stereotypes.html so they developed an oven that sustained a temp of 650 degrees to distill pitch but you claim they were to stupid to build an animal trap! ...
