It would be anti-American and rather fascist if you demand that you may not criticizing Bush and consumerism. But you know, knock yourself out.

They voted on it. If you don't like democracy that leave the US.

It's awesome that people drop a hundred grand on an education to be turned into morons.

What is honestly offensive to me as a mexican is that 90% of the nimrods, whether American citizens or mexican americans for that matter, dont even know WTF Cinco de Mayo even commemorates. It has not a single (*)(*)(*)(*)ing thing to do with the History of the United States, and as far Mexico goes it is not even celebrated across the country by any means. For (*)(*)(*)(*)s sake the united States has bigger celebrations for it than Mexico does and im not joking.

The only reason Cinco de Mayo is even made into somewhat of a big deal is for one thing only, to boost liquor sales at bars and restaurants. Thats it.

Wanna talk offensive, the people celebrating need to know what the hell they are celebrating, I swear to god if i hear one more person tell me "Happy mexican Independence day" Im gonna snap lol. And the people who push it need to stop pretending it's some MAJOR holiday and us American's need to (*)(*)(*)(*)ing abide by it and not like our country for the day. Trust me, i've put MANY Mexicans in their place for even daring to say the American's need to honor the holiday. (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) please, if it wasn't for the United States us mexican's would be speaking French and Cinco de Mayo wouldn't even exist.

You must be a Liberal Arts major too! JFK a "Liberal"? Seriously?

Kennedy fought his own party and heavily adocated cutting personal and corporate taxes. He was famous for, "a rising tide lifts all boats”.

He believed Tax Cuts stimulated the economy.

Oh no they are liberal, the thing is liberal is not at all what it used to be or meant to be. Sorry, but this is the type that has in fact hijacked the once respectable Democratic Party. Sorry man, but real liberals as you speak about need to step up their game, this new breed is gonna (*)(*)(*)(*) all of us right up the backside.

I thought it was a joke post from the Onion or something but there is actually a degree program called 'Social Ecology', and the guy is a real student there. I guess they need a lot of fake 'degrees' in California, where non-English speakers make up a lot of Valedictorians of crappy high schools and the old fall back 'degree' for socially promoted semi-literate morons was 'General Studies' or 'Media Studies', or 'Journalism' in the '80's. 'Social Ecology' sounds tailor made for the racial quota system, for both students and Affirm Action hired 'professors'. Got to keep those seats warmed and the fraud going. Wonder where Guevara graduated from 'high school, and if was one of the federally subsidized La Raza 'charter schools', where good little racists go to learn how to spit on America.

JFK ran on the Democratic ticket because that was Daddy's Party, and where Daddy and his money had the most influence. Both JFK and lil brother were staunch McCarthyites, and neither cared about anything or anybody but themselves. If pretending to be 'liberal' got them more votes, that's what they marketed themselves as. Neither had any real principles, so trying to classify them as 'liberal' or 'conservative' is a waste of typing.

Oh good grief, think about what I said for a freekn second.
I'll help, if more Conservative kids were enrolled in that college the mindset would be more balanced there.
That is weighing on the topic, just because I see something you does not does not change the point I was making.

I don't see hatred in this, but stupidity yes.

According to your article, it says that all flags are being removed from the inclusive area. This would mean that not only U.S. flags, but foreign flags as well.

    Not sick, but fickle.

This is just another example of the all or none theory where none is being focused on and not enough effort to try to include all.

Funny, not when I went to a major private, religious, conservative student body university. Most conservatives were in Poli Sci, history, home economics or simply business, usually management. The hard science, math, and engineering jobs were the international students went to and were most of the "liberal" students went.

Today, it is the same thing where most conservatives do not go into science or enginnering or moth or anything else. They all want to make the quick buck as fast as possible. Not saying that is bad, just saying though.

Technically, Cinco De Mayo has some significance with the United States given that several states, such as Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Utah, and Colorado have a shared history with both Mexico and the United States. It is that shared history that can make Cinco de Mayo important to those regions and the people.

Seriously? What a totally inane, infantile example of political correctness run amok. Banning an American flag from an American university in an American city in an American state, because some non-American might be offended? Geez, sometimes these university kids should stop taking themselves so seriously and get a friggin grip.

The tax cuts that JFK proposed was to lower the top marginal rate from 92% to 70% while still retaining most of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954. The rate cuts were simply eliminating part of the WW2 tax rate structure of WW2, that is all.

JFK also had the Bay of Pigs, increased our presence in Vietnam, and the infamous Cuban Missile Crisis. For domestic policy, he supported civil rights and was questioned by the GOP simply because he was Catholic. In today's term, you would call him a progressive liveral and Ronald Reagan a RINO.

I know Cinco de Mayo is celebrated here more than in Mexico. But that was not my point. My point is that southern states on the Mexican border share a common history with Mexico and the United States. And because of that shared history, that is why Cinco De Mayo is important to both countries.

I have also celebrated Los Posadas, Dia Del Muerto, and Dies y Seis as well when I was growing up.
