Why does soo much of the world hate Israel? Is it because of their behavior towards the Arabs? Is it 100% due to anti-Semitism? Is it a combination of both? what do you think?
a lot of Israel's behavior has logically created and fueled hatred against them. even if they were a liberal, peace-loving, law-abiding free democracy they would still be hated, but much less.
if Israel changed its behavior, they would be hated a lot less. in fact, all they have to do is STOP expanding settlements and stop stealing land, and they would be liked more.
Yeah, I agree. I always thought that expanding settlements took away the chance for peace. But there are many people in Israel who want peace, and do not want the settlements at all. Israel is not monolithic in political beliefs. When the leadership in Israel continues with those settlements, they are basically thumbing their nose at peace via a two state solution which must take place. Getting there will be difficult, for certain groups within the Palestinian population will not accept Israel as a State, and that is a fact. So, those people will have to be discarded, run off, by the intelligent Palestinians, or peace nor a two state solution will happen. I support the State of Israel, as having a right to exist, but I do not support what their right wing has done, and continues to do.
Utter nonsense if peace and a place for Palestinians to self govern is of any consideration. You cannot just dismiss millions of Palestinians, so easily and be coherent. Israel, right or wrong is the worst stance to have <Mod Edit>
If the only Jews allowed to immigrate to Isreal going forward were Semitic Jews from around Israel proper, things would calm down. The problem has to do with race. The fact is, half of Israel's Jews are just not Semitic. The presence of French speaking Algerian Jews in the heart of the Middle East and blonde European Jews calling Israel their 'homeland' is just nonsense.
That's it. I wasn't really down on Israel until I started reading up on its early days with the Stern and Irgun gangs and that ilk. Then when Sharon allowed the massacres in Sabra and Shatilla, it tore it for me. I do not support Israel anymore.

Why are you so unwilling to recognize there is a racial component to Israel ? I guarantee you if a bunch of Arabs converted to an ancient Celtic-Druid faith and then occupied a part of Ireland as their homeland, the local white-Irish population wouldn't consider them legitimate. And btw, FYI the world doesn't hate Israel, only middle easterners really hate Israel. However, many more hate Israelis but that isn't the same thing as Israel which is a biblical nation.
