Why was Ben Carson not smart enough to understand what vetting is?

Will Carson whine like a little child when the press questions him about this?

Carson could have had all these revelations and questions about his character and integrity remain under the rug, but I imagine that his assessment of how much more he could enrich himself by running a bogus campaign outweighed the risk of exposure as to what a smarmy, hypocritical and greedy person he really is. He also knows that the bible thumping set is just as hypocritical and that this darker side of his nature will not sway their support of him one little bit.

I knew this man had skeletons in his closet. Speaking of his book, "America the Beautiful," he plagiarized part of this book but he only admitted to plagiarism because he got caught. He is a dishonest man and not fit to be President. He also has a mean streak in him because he, on purpose, disrupted a National Prayer Breakfast a couple of years ago because he has a personal vendetta against President Obama.

Carson can answer all of these questions in a 20-minute interview. Instead, he will just allude to Hillary and Obama because he knows that hes been exposed as a habitual liar who wouldn't know honesty or decency if it hit him in the face.

But I almost hope that McStabby will win the RNC nomination so that he'll have to answer to Hillary or Sanders live on stage.

Why do people keep using code words to insult Ben Carson? We all know what "not smart enough" really means. It means black.

The man was the director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins for almost 30 years. He separated conjoined twins. So there is no logical standard by which anyone could call him dumb. So if you read between the lines, what these people are really saying is, "Ben Carson is black. And we don't like that."

Concerns arise when a reputedly capable knife-wielding surgeon can't even find a belly.

    That must be rightist lingo.

In normal parlance, "not bright enough" means "not bright enough."

Like most folks, he seems quite astute in some matters, not in others.

Carson is a detriment to the Republican party and between he and the Donald the white house is no longer within grasp...all GOP voters should be standing up against this terrible move toward irrelevancy. Sadly, they are instead watching and cheering.

I will let Doctor Ben Carson defend him self with his own words

“The fact of the matter is, you know, what — we should vet all candidates. I have no problem with being vetted. What I do have a problem with is being lied about and then putting that out there as truth,”

Carson is the wrong kind of black (conservative) and will be hunted down and put in chains for leaving the LibbyVille Plantation.

Bible thumping? Did you accuse Obama of that since he sat in church for 20years?

Calling people racist when they point out flaws in a political figure....just because that figure happens to be black, IS racist.

It is interesting how the focus of attack has come off Trump and fixated on Carson.

I honestly don't recall anyone referring to the President of "not being bright enough", not even when they were mincning around with photoshopped images of him as an African witch doctor or claiming that his being a constitutional law professor with twelve years of elective public service was paltry experience for the presidency.

It comes with the territory at the top of the polls. The Great Flatu has been savaging Benny mercilessly.

I've consistently stated my assessment that Barack Obama has been a mediocre president without his racial background being a factor in any way.

If you could provide some specific examples of whatever it is that you're alleging, I might be able to help you.

Understandably, questions arise concerning Benny's claims that he is unable to corroborate, but when GOP candidates criticize opponents by comparing them to child molesters, that's a bit much.

I don't know if it's that he wasn't "smart enough", but he's not a politician and wouldn't have been acquainted with the balls-to-the-wall dirt digging and microscopic attention afforded to presidential candidates. It's one thing to spectate it as a bystander in an election. I'd imagine it's quite another to actually be one of the candidates.

Carson seems like a good person, he's obviously skilled as his profession, and I'm sure there are contributions he could make to government in certain areas. But I do not think he's the right kind of person to be president. But then again, voting for career politicians hasn't exactly done us any good either.

Personally, I'm glad he's not going to win. His scientific and religious beliefs are just a bit too off for me. I can't be sure there aren't more wild and wacky ideas up his sleeve that could do more harm than just thinking the pyramids were for storing grain.
