Where is your evidence that throughout all this time the Bible has been changed other than translations? Besides if what your saying is true, then there is no reality. Reality is truth, if the truth has been changed, there is no reality.

See, AA, Jesus/god, just like the Mafia, have the power to NOT OFFER THAT "OPTION" (the "option" of "hell/torture") in the first place, they are the ones who set up that system in the first place, because Jesus/god are all-powerful. Just like the Mafia, Jesus/god set up an immoral "option" that you have to "choose". I choose not to play their game.

 

Please tell us you're not serious! You actually believe in a talking donkey, a talking snake, unicorns, dragons, a man living inside a fish for 3 days!? If not, then please show us where we can buy the version of the Bible that you use on a daily basis that did not bring those unscientific things forward so we can maybe recommend it to Christians such as yourself. You have moral standards huh. Jesus didn't come to preach to the faithful, He came for the unfaithful. He did not come to abolish the Old Testament, He came to fulfill it. He wanted to reach out to the sinners, to try and save them. He asked God to forgive those that killed Him, while they was killing Him. Moral standards huh.

In all seriousness, what makes you think Jesus was ok with slavery. Did Jesus not say "love thy neighbor as thyself"? In the overall message of Jesus, where does your intelligence gather such evil information?

 

First off you have me confused with some one else as I never mentioned anything about slavery.

Second your reading skills seem to be lacking as I posted the bible verse I was commenting on, here it is again please try to actually read it this time...

Now I consider myself way more moral than jesus as I would never ask other people to kill my enemies for me.

Why didn't jesus take the time to point out that this is not a good way to treat anybody? I submit that his lack of correction concerning this practice is in fact an endorsement of it!

That is unless you want to argue jesus wasn't fully versed in the old testament writings and didn't know what the old testament actually said.

Steps for Christians to consider:
1. Read Bible thoroughly.
2. Clean yourself up after you throw up reading it.
3. Leave Jesus.

 

See, it's not up to the skeptic (me) to go back in time and show/prove exactly where (likely untold numbers of ) Jesus' teachings got added to, got omitted, got changed, got embellished to conform to the OT prophecies, etc. We'll never know!....that's because Jesus was too stupid to know 3 little words: "write this down".
For all we know Jesus said "kill all Jews" (but Paul and the Romans omitted that), since we know for sure that Jesus sat on his hands while a Christian, Hitler, did just that for about 6 million Jews. Heck, the Jews are allegedly (according to Jesus in John 14:6 since they don't follow him) hell-bound anyway, so what's the big deal just getting them there a few years early (a Christian could argue)?

 

So are the talking snake, the talking donkey, and the talking dead guy actually real, jrr777? Also, please tell us how one differentiates between any of those 3 and the unscientific happenings, in, say, Middle Earth or Narnia. Thanks.
