In what way(s) are you better than Jesus (if any)?

If that is what makes you feel better for your decision's.

 

I use hypothesis because that's how the scientific method is defined.

A hypothesis is a proposal based upon limited information. If the proposal is proven then it becomes a theory, if disproven then it is discarded.

The scientific method allows for the possibility of "blue dogs" (aliens) circling the solar system.

There is no universal objective proof (or disproof) of God, but many people individually conclude there is (is not) a God and that conclusion drives their actions. Whether you like it or not, belief in God is a fundamental driving force in humanity and to better understand humanity and improve relations, people must have an understanding of religion.

 

Any one remember the song, Jesus Built my Hotrod? Ok, then I am calling out Jesus because I got a faster hot rod.

 

If I were to compare myself to Jesus I would want to compare myself to the real man rather than the myth of the man.

 

You mean not believing a thing exists that the person claiming does has no proof for?

It's hardly a decision it's just not being suckered in to fables!

 

Let me assure you as a preachers son I have a better understanding of religion than most.

In fact being a preachers son I dare say that I have been exposed to way more of the behind the scenes political posturing of the organized religious hierarchy than most... and

I assure you it's not pretty!

But let me also add that most of my knowledge , that is based on facts, was gained by feeling the need to prove that this religion that I never quite bought into was in fact true and

correct. The only thing I learned from church was the spoon feed dogma the religion peddles and presents as "theology" they were not interested in teaching the actual history of how

the religion formed or how it stole from paganism or who promoted it or why or even that it didn't just pop into existence with Jesus and Paul it was a battle between differing factions of

several differing versions. All these things I discovered when I looked for myself and gave just the slightest credence to the fact that I may have been being

misinformed by the church.

 

So far.... my all time record for getting myself officially excommunicated - ostracized - shunned by a church..... is two..... in roughly one month!

No kidding.... back in 1991 I advised the Worldwide Church of God pastor that he may as well excommunicate me....... because I could no longer simply go along with what I was certain were doctrine that were seriously in error.

At that time I went to meeting by the Philadelphia Church of God...… but felt I may as well test them to see where they were at...… After sending a letter to headquarters..... I was promptly disfellowshipped from that group as well!

 

If you really.........… really would like to do this..... you might want to google a title........ by Bruce F. MacDonald Ph. D. His first book is in my opinion........ even better than the Gospel of John..... and even better than the Book of Isaiah.... my two favorite books from the Christian and Jewish Bible!

If I remember correctly the title is...."The Thomas Book, Near Death and a Quest for Another Gospel by the Twin Brother of Jesus."

It sounds a little wild......… but it is truly BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!

Why reincarnation was edited out of Christianity?



On Saturday I began a Facebook group entitled Barbro Karlen and Anne Frank after one of the most famous cases of a child remembering a past life.

Yesterday I got the most logical explanation I have ever read as to why reincarnation may have been edited out of the Christian scriptures:

 

Same with Fundamental Baptists... disagree and out you go with the promise that hell awaits you!

 

I kind of guessed that........ but I enjoyed having a little fun by attempting to do that myself!

 

Why not simply stop attending and never go back?

No reason to make them feel more ignorant than they obviously are...and definitely not worth the effort.

 

Yup..... but at least the WWCG and PCG had a rather dogmatic "soul sleep" teaching so.......... eternal non-existence was the punishment that they felt I was risking by being a voluntary...… AposTate..... from either organization!

 

In my case...… I wanted to get a pastor or two or three..... or perhaps more... asking some questions that could eventually turn out to be important.

As far as the WWCG went.... I wanted to put some near death experience accounts in front of a few pastors.......

In the case of the Philadelphia Church of God.... I wanted to get a few of them thinking that perhaps...… just perhaps........ the WWCG might have been onto something when it felt that the final Elijah might also be one of the two witnesses..... so..... since Mr. Herbert Armstrong died back in 1986..... he might not have been the final Elijah?????!

OK FINE...… YOU ARE RIGHT..... I SHOULD HAVE JUST STOPPED ATTENDING AND NOT GONE BACK......!!!!!!!! That would have been wiser!!!!

The you should be able to prove that Christianity is false.

 

Since I'm not the one claiming christianity is true I'll leave it to those doing so to prove it is.

Tell you what...how about we just ask a Christian of another denomination than you, and let him tell you yours is false?

 

Then you don't really know, you are just parroting words you don't understand.

 

But you claimed to be the preachers son, the son who had a better understanding of religion, and went on a quest for knowledge as to the source of Christianity and found Christianity was false. If we are all misguided, then share your knowledge and end this thing called Christianity.

 

Just as soon as you prove blue dogs don't circle our solar system I'll be happy to provide you with the answer that will keep you from looking silly by claiming christianity is true!

 

So you can't prove it after all. You could have saved us all this trouble by just being honest up front.

 

Just as you assume christianity is true you assume I don't have the answer you seek... but I do!

However since you have made the claim without proof christianity is true first, I must insist on being granted the same conditions as you have insisted on from me.

As you make a claim first and demand it's refutation I must insist on the same consideration from you.

So here is the deal,,, you refute my claim that I offer with no evidence and then I will gladly reciprocate.
