Sharia is an integral part of the Islamic religion, and some left-wing progressives have decided (for political and ideological reasons) that we need more Islam in the West. If people are being beheaded for listening to music, how do you think Muslims are going to tolerate things like debauched sexual practices, alcohol and drug use, feminism, atheism, gay rights, and other left-wing social goals? I think some progressives are letting in pit vipers and hoping they will not get bit.

Of course, the goal is to temporary "team up" with Islam to destroy the last vestiges of Christianity in the West, which both groups are opposed to. The hope is that, by the time their mutual enemies are destroyed, each will be able to convert the other to their respective faiths. As we can see, the Muslims will most likely succeed. They are not going to abandon Islam for secular humanist Marxism, the one true faith. Seeing how easily some progressives give up on their principles, as evidenced by the silence from feminists on the plight of women in the Muslim world, as evidenced by the silence of SJW's with the throwing of gays off buildings in the Middle East, etc — more than likely progressives will end up converting to Islam when all is said and done. They are not going to be brave enough to take on Islam the way they've taken on Christianity. Muslims fight back viciously when their religion is mocked and disrespected.

 

I am getting the impression these ISIS folks are pretty out of control. Not very nice and want to impose their morality on others.

We should, as we airstrike them into oblivion as we are doing, take a lesson form them. Religion is often used to control others by a delusional few who believe this flying god nonsense, and we should not follow ancient mythologies or use them as the basis for morality.

Case in point. ISIS.

Yeah, I think we need massive bombardment of wacko fundamentalists who want to impose their religious zealotry on others by taking over the Government and creating laws that follow their extremist religious views.

 

For many, Islam can only be ridiculed when it is lumped into a generalized dislike of "religion". Unlike Christianity, it's rare that it is ever singled out.

What is most amazing is the folsk who are rabidly anti Muslim, in my opinion and present company excluded, seem to have no qualms pushing forth racial bigotry and a desire to relegate anyone not white, straight, and Christian to second class citizen status.

 

I think it's more amazing that some progressives take it upon themselves to defend Islam, when Islam is against pretty much every social goal that progressives push for in the West.

That *might* have something to do with the fact that Christians comprise well over 70% of this country's population, whereas Muslims comprise only about 1%. Unfortunately some progressives have decided that the West needs more Muslim immigrants, like in Europe, so that may change with time. The important question is "why?" Why do we need more Islam in the West? How is it that we've gotten by just fine without it for pretty much all of the country's history?

 

Yeah, love that contradiction...

one minute you'll say "Islam wants to oppress women, oppress gays"....

then you'll say "Progressives want to oppress straights, oppress men by pushing 'special rights' for women and gays"....

a minute after that you say "Islamists and Progressives have the same agenda!!!"
