    You are witnessing the effect of one Franklin.D. Roosevelt who couldn't get his New Deal to pass before the SCOTUS. So, what did he do? He replaced the judges who voted against him, for those who would vote for him. Roosevelt is the daddy of the crony justice we have here in America.

    Still dodging? Why does any cop have the right to carry a gun while off duty when civilians in the same city don't have that right? Do they have extra rights? Does a cop's family deserve extra protection that mine does not?

    Why do Hillary's body guards have the right to carry guns? Or Pelosi's guards? Why not just disarm everybody. Like we do with children, let's just say "alright! Nobody gets a gun!" The big wigs should all go without protection. It would be a very good thing. And while we're at it, take their private jets away from them too and make them fly Delta with the rest of the madding crowd.

    Think that would work?

    I said "off duty". Do you think Nancy's or Hillary's body guards have a right to carry guns when off duty? And yes, let them fly Southwest or Delta like everybody else. They will be guaranteed to be surrounded by disarmed people.

    SCOTUS has already rulled on things like this. Its going to go them and it will get overturned. But you have to love libs and gun control, it is an oxymoron. Notice how no one has ever done a study or cite a study that shows gun control working here in the US? May because gun control doesn't, and never, will work. On the other hand you can see places like Chicago, Detroit, Wash. DC, Oakland, etc etc etc.

    The SCOTUS actually ruled a laws on conceded carry are legit and and not an infringement. Robertson v. Baldwin 1897. Upheld again in 2008 District of Columbia v. Heller.

    Laws against concealed carry are legit, even coded in several State Constitutions (like Colorado). If a jurisdiction bans concealed carry though, then open carry better be legal or it's a violation of the people's right to bear arms codified in the 2nd Amendment.

    Judge Fletcher was nominated by former President Bill Clinton. Should Hillary Clinton gain the Presidency you can expect more challenges to the 2nd Amendment. Our next President will choose Justice Scalia's replacement.

    If 2nd Amendment supporters need another reason to oppose Hillary Clinton, this is a valid one. Your rights to carry concealed firearms are at stake here, make sure the next Supreme Court Justice is a conservative.

    First of all, my point is not every police department lets off duty cops carry weapons but are you saying we should be wary of cops?

    Ok, everyone is a target you can have that but personally I don't see the boogie man everywhere. I've gotten to the last stage of my life with no problems.
    I really have a problem with every Tom, Dick (emphasis on that one) and Harry carrying a gun. I have to trust that a cop is trained and know how and when to use a gun. Everybody else, not so much.

    Except that many cops only shoot their weapon to qualify and many civilians practice more than many cops. Shooting a gun isn't rocket science.

    My buddy and I are about to sign up for our C&C course soon, followed by permit. I assure you any attempts to derail the right of Americans to have guns is going to get met with a righteous, justified revolution. The Traditional American Patriarchy is only going to permit this nonsense from the left for so long before we take back what's ours. Keep pushing, progressives; you've only sealed your political fate.

    Of course not. I'm saying that cops have no more rights than anybody else. Why should they have a right to carry off duty when civilians don't have that right. I've had more background checks than 99% of cops. I've had a secret security clearance for 27 years since serving in the military. I've worked in dozens of federal facilities and been background checked for each agency. I have a kid with top secret clearance. Are you saying that a rookie cop can be trusted to carry a gun more than me?

    I'm not saying we should require a security clearance to carry a gun, but completing a police academy doesn't give a person special rights. My family deserves the same protection that theirs has.
