You make a good point, and I guess it's worth bringing up, but as an atheist who happens to be a right-winger I find it frustrating that we have to even deal with these people at all (obviously that's a personal problem). More importantly, what makes you think they are going to listen? Religious people don't budge and are even more obstinate than partisan hacks.
