Oh! Come on! Risk is the spice of life - you know you would go for it. Most of us don't have a lick of sense when it comes to deadly attractive women.
If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck----it's a duck. Someone with multiple awful tats on them isn't likely to be Billy Graham or Mother Teresa. However knowing person, place and time lets one make wise evaluations.
Don't appreciate any of her art. Even on the chance her grandfather was Nazi war hero and she's "honoring him"---it's all trashy. She's just another sad example---best put in the "humorless section."
You must have some kind of booty! - - - Updated - - - I always thought it was "four eyes." - - - Updated - - - I hate that thing that the girls are doing with their eyebrows too. It looks stupid, IMO. Some of them even shave off their brows and use makeup to put on new ones. - - - Updated - - - I don't like it. It is way too much, IMO. I can't imagine having to walk around like that all the time.
You would probably make a killing. In my friend's instance, she was stupid enough to let her ex boyfriend (when she was 17 or 1 tattoo his name on her butt! When she got married, her husband insisted on having it lasered off, and I can't really say I blame him.
Ya and you gotta wonder what all the ink will look like when is 65.... - - - Updated - - - I count 6...There is one just above her eyelashs...
Thats essentially saying Its not fair but its not unfair. You cant have it both ways. Either you state that anyone with a tattoo is automatically a less worthy human being or you accept that our subconscious assumptions are imperfect at best and require conscious adjustment. Sorry but that is just a lie. Youve just explained how you will refuse to use a restaurant where a waitress has a tattoo and that youd flatly refuse to employ anyone with a tattoo (regardless of number of other positive characteristics). If you were on a jury facing a suspect with tattoos, Ive no doubt youd be more likely to convict. If a came upon a stranger on the street desperately in need of your help, Im sure youd pass on by if they had tattoos. And in all those things youd be wrong. Even if having a tattoo correlated with all of the negative characteristics you choose to associate with them, youre assumption the link with always be true would still be wrong and youre flat refusal to even consider looking at individuals further, giving them a second chance is logically and morally flawed. And yet you seem to revel in it. Id take the good characters of a million tattooed people before yours.
I wouldn't refuse to hire a person with a tattoo (s) if that person was qualified for the job. I would, however, make them cover up the tattoos if it was a job working with the public.
This needed some repeating...so... Tattoos are fine. Welcome to the 21st century. Here's mine. Got it when I was in my mid-60's. It has a name. Its name is Paquantasantanahempokanono. It is a compound Piscataqua Indian word roughly meaning, "Stay away from tattoo parlors when you're stoned."
What about a person with tattoos on his/her face? Unless you're a Muslim woman, you really can't get away with covering your face. Must be difficult to find work.
Obviously- you are a tattooed person who insists that others see it in a positive way. Sorry, no sale here. And it is not punishment to not patronize- it is my choice. I'm not taking mney from that restaurant- I'm choosing not to give them any. Again, my choice- and the same you would make if you didn't like the atmosphere or attitude in a place you stopped at. Having tattoos doesn't make anybody less human, and I would act to save the life of almost any person in trouble. That does exclude a few violent criminals, which is why I say "almost". Less human is not the point- less in terms of self-respect and judgment is, and that is a perception. You are free to see it your way. You are not free to demand that others see it your way. This is my opinion. It varies not only with having a tattoo, but with the nature, quantity and other factors about them. A woman with a rose on her but that is there for her husband doesn't bother me. A person who has chosen to commemorate the loss of a loved one on their arm at least has a purpose- and while I think it could have been done in better ways, I understand. The person who has horse flies crawling up their neck... No She might as well have tattooed "I'm an idiot" on her forehead. Most tatts I see are not truly meaningful, they are there because the person wanted to be part of the crowd- and just picked some design off the wall. 1 such tattoo is a moment of bad judgement. 10 is the absence of any judgment- or self respect. Now that is MY opinion. You are free to have your own. There are a lot of people who not tattooed, who also do not have any self-respect, and do not understand the critical role it plays in their life. Same with bad judgment. I see them the same way- and you no doubt also have some characteristics in your views of people which to you, are turn-offs that affect your decisions. Do you have concerns about the man who comes into a convenience store wearing a ski mask? That doesn't mean he is there to hold the place up, but I doubt you are going to treat the situation without suspicion of his intent, and you would be cautious. We navigate by learning to read the signs, and people are always telling you who they are in one way or another. Wise people have figured out how to read that, and that avoids a lot of poor choices. People who don't understand why that matters are always blaming other for the conditions that result from their own choices.
Yes- Common practice with most retail organizations, and often easy to do. Unfortunately some people put tatts in places that can't be covered, quite often ones that are offensive.
Nope, no tattoos myself. Too cowardly about pain and needles. See, negative assumptions about people are so easily mistaken aren’t they. That’s not the point of the OP you’re implicitly defending though. There was no conditions or other factors considered. The line is simply “tattoo=bad”, just like the list of highly negative characteristics you previously associated with tattoos, again with no conditions or other factors. Now you’ve been challenged you’re starting to admit to the conditions and restrictions, exactly the kind of conscious tempering or subconscious bias I was promoting. The problem is your opening statements still stand as a generic condemnation of anyone with a tattoo. That’s what I hope you’d reconsider in future before speaking out against other people.
But the reality is that a lot of times the do carry a negative association and a lot of people find them trashy. As another poster has noted, sometimes they might even be of an offensive type of nature. Such is life. Would you hire a person who was covered in tattoos to work at a fancy restaurant?
I think some people get tattoos or weird piercings to get attention. They want to be noticed. Perhaps they feel like they wouldn't be noticed otherwise, or they just feel like they need more attention, whether it be negative or positive. A lot of people probably get them because they are following a fad or think it's cool or something. Then there are those who are part of an "alternative" lifestyle (which could mean many things - so don't ask). Also, some people get ones that they feel are meaningful or sentimental in nature.
I have two, both reflecting my military service. I doubt I would have gotten any if I didn't serve. A short sleeve shirt covers them.
My dad got one when he was young of a black cat on a 13. Lol. He hated that thing so much. He said he got it when he was drunk.
